TEAM NOTES – OFFENSE
- The Titans' 416 total net yards (158 rushing and 258 passing) at Detroit were the most by the offense since a 420-yard performance against Houston on Nov. 21, 2021.
- The Titans' 158 rushing yards were their most since they had 175 rushing yards against Jacksonville on Jan. 7, 2024.
- The Titans' 258 net passing yards were their most since they had 320 net passing yards at Miami on Dec. 11, 2023.
- The offense's 23 total first downs (nine rushing, 12 passing, two by penalties) at Detroit were the most by the Titans since recording 23 first downs against Seattle on Dec. 24, 2023.
- The Titans offense recorded 285 total yards in the first half, posting their highest total in the first half of a game since Nov. 29, 2020 at Indianapolis (346).
- The Titans offense totaled 212 net passing yards in the first half, which was the unit's highest number since a 212-yard passing performance in the first half against Kansas City on Oct. 24, 2021.
- The Titans controlled the ball for 35 minutes and 37 seconds, which was their best number of the season. They won the time-of-possession battle for the fifth time in seven games in 2024.
TEAM NOTES – DEFENSE
- The Titans defense totaled four sacks in the contest, which was the unit's best total since a four-sack performance against Houston on Dec. 17, 2023.
- The Titans defense combined for seven tackles for loss, registering the third game in 2024 in which they had at least that many.
- For the second consecutive week and for the third time in 2024, the Titans defense opened the game by forcing a three-and-out against the opposing offense. The defense had three total three-and-outs at Detroit.
- The Titans defense and outside linebacker Arden Key recorded a sack on the first play of the game. It was the first time since Dec. 12, 2021 against Jacksonville that the defense's first play resulted in a sack.
- The Titans defense registered sacks on consecutive plays in the first quarter. It was the team's first time notching sacks on back-to-back plays since Dec. 17, 2023 against Houston.
CB DARRELL BAKER JR.
- Started for the second consecutive week and totaled one tackle and one pass defensed.
RB JULIUS CHESTNUT
- Established career highs with seven rushing attempts and 32 rushing yards.
S QUANDRE DIGGS
- Recorded his 74th consecutive start. He entered the week trailing only Kevin Byard (127), Patrick Queen (74) and Daron Payne (74) for the NFL's longest active streak among defensive players.
- Ranked second on the defense with seven tackles.
LB JACK GIBBENS
- Started and led the defense with eight tackles.
- Logged his seventh career game with eight or more tackles.
LB LUKE GIFFORD
- Posted a team-high two special teams tackles to lead the team for the second consecutive week.
WR JHA'QUAN JACKSON
- Returned three punts for 24 total yards and added a 29-yard kickoff return.
OLB ARDEN KEY
- Led the team and set a career high with two sacks, including a strip-sack.
- Also set a career high and tied for third on the squad with six tackles.
- On the first play of the game, he sacked Jared Goff for a seven-yard loss. Later in the first quarter, he recorded another sack along with a forced fumble on the play. It was his third career strip-sack and his third career forced fumble.
- Increased his season total to three sacks and his career total to 23 sacks.
- Recorded at least one sack for the second consecutive game. It marked his first such back-to-back performances since 2022.
CB ROGER McCREARY
- Totaled three tackles, one sack and two tackles for loss.
- Credited with a 13-yard sack of Jared Goff in the first quarter. It was his first sack of the season and his third career sack.
TE CHIG OKONKWO
- Totaled 14 yards on two receptions, including an 18-yard catch in the third quarter.
RB TONY POLLARD
- Totaled 94 rushing yards on 20 attempts and added three receptions for 23 yards.
- Totaled 117 scrimmage yards, reaching 100 scrimmage yards in a game for the 19th time in his career. His 117 scrimmage yards amounted to the ninth-best total of his career.
- Reached the 20-carry mark for the sixth time in his career.
- Rushed for a 17-yard gain on an attempt in the first quarter.
- Logged his fourth consecutive game with at least 60 rushing yards, which matched the second-longest such streak of his career (six games in 2022; four games in 2021).
WR CALVIN RIDLEY
- Led the team with 10 receptions for 143 yards.
- His 10 receptions tied his career high (Dec. 20, 2020 vs. Tampa Bay), and his 143 receiving yards tied for the third-best total of his career.
- Became the first Titans player with 10 receptions in a game since J. Brown (11) against San Francisco on Dec. 23, 2021.
- His 143 yards were the most by a Titans player since J. Brown's 145 yards against San Francisco on Dec. 23, 2021. Ridley became the first Titans player with 100 receiving yards since DeAndre Hopkins (124) at Miami on Dec. 11, 2023.
- Became the only Titans/Oilers player with six or more receptions in the first quarter of a game since at least 1978. The last time a Titans player had six-plus catches in any single quarter was Nate Washington (six receptions) in the fourth quarter at Buffalo on Oct. 21, 2012.
- Went over the 100-yard receiving mark in the first quarter (118 yards). He became the first Titans player to do so since Drew Bennett (124) at Indianapolis on Dec. 5, 2004. Ridley became the NFL's second player in 2024 to accomplish the feat, joining Arizona's Marvin Harrison Jr. (Sept. 15 vs. L.A. Rams).
- In the first quarter, he helped set up a touchdown with a 26-yard catch, and later in the first quarter, he caught a 47-yard pass from Mason Rudolph.
QB MASON RUDOLPH
- Started for the second consecutive week and completed 22 of 38 passes for 266 yards and one touchdown with one interception. His 266 passing yards in a game ranked fourth in his career.
- Added 29 rushing yards and a touchdown on four rushing attempts.
- Found Josh Whyle for a 33-yard completion in the first quarter. Later on the same drive, he completed a 26-yard pass to Calvin Ridley and then rushed for an 11-yard score. It was his first career rushing touchdown.
- Completed a 47-yard pass to Calvin Ridley in the first quarter.
DT JEFFERY SIMMONS
- Totaled four tackles, one sack, two tackles for loss and one forced fumble.
- Recorded a strip-sack in the third quarter, taking down Jared Goff and registering a forced fumble on the play (recovered by the Lions). It was his second sack of the season, which also gave him 28.5 career sacks. He notched his third career strip-sack and his fourth career forced fumble.
P RYAN STONEHOUSE
- Averaged 49.3 yards (17.7 net) on six punts with two punts placed inside the 20.
- Recorded his 14th consecutive game with at least one punt of 55-plus yards. He holds the NFL's longest such active streak, which is also the longest streak of his career.
WR NICK WESTBROOK-IKHINE
- Totaled 39 yards and a touchdown on a pair of receptions.
- Caught a five-yard touchdown pass from Mason Rudolph in the second quarter, and later in the second quarter, he added a 34-yard grab.
- Extended his career-long streak to three consecutive games with a touchdown reception, becoming the first Titans player to do so since J. Brown in 2020 (five consecutive games).
- Increased his season total to three touchdown receptions, and improved his career total to 13 touchdown catches.
- Registered his fourth consecutive season with three or more touchdown receptions.
TE JOSH WHYLE
- Totaled two receptions for 33 yards.
- Recorded a career-long 33-yard catch in the first quarter.
