TEAM NOTES

  • Four players made their first appearance in a Titans uniform at Jacksonville: kicker Matthew Wright, linebacker Raekwon McMillan, offensive lineman Chandler Brewer and safety Gervarrius Owens.
  • The Titans' 22 starters at Jacksonville included 13 total players who did not record starts in Week 1 at Chicago, including seven players on offense and six on defense.
  • The Titans offense extended its streak to eight consecutive touchdowns on red-zone possessions before kicking a field goal on its second and final red-zone drive at Jacksonville.
  • On the opening possession of the second half, the offense scored a touchdown after marching 85 yards on 13 plays during a drive that took 8 minutes and 9 seconds. It was the team's third 8-minute (or longer) touchdown drive of the 2024 season, as well as the third touchdown drive of 13 or more plays.
  • The offense's 23 total first downs at Jacksonville tied for the unit's third-best total of the season through 16 games.
  • The Titans were successful on 50.0 percent of their third downs at Jacksonville, with seven conversions on 14 attempts. It tied for their second-best rate of the season. The offense's four best third-down performances of 2024 occurred in the past four games.
  • The offense rushed for 159 yards on 30 attempts at Jacksonville, which was the unit's second-best rushing yardage total of the season through 16 games.
  • The offense's 5.3 average yards per rushing attempt was the offense's best in any game with 30 or more total attempts since the unit averaged 5.9 yards on 31 attempts against Houston on Dec. 24, 2022.
  • The Titans defense limited the Jaguars to 173 net passing yards. It was the 11th time in 2024 that the Titans kept their opponent under 200 passing yards. They entered the week ranked first in passing defense, yielding a league-low 178.3 passing yards per contest.
  • The Titans won the time-of-possession battle for the 10th time in 2024 (30:40 to 29:20).

CB CHIDOBE AWUZIE

  • Tallied three tackles and a pass defensed.
  • Totaled four passes defensed in four games since returning to the roster from injured reserve.

LB JEROME BAKER

  • Started and tied for fourth on the team with six tackles. He also registered a sack and a pass defensed.
  • In the fourth quarter, he took down Mac Jones for no gain to register his second sack of the season, which improved his career total to 24.5 sacks.

S MIKE BROWN

  • Tied for second on the defense with seven tackles and added a special teams tackle.

LS MORGAN COX

  • Appeared in his 232nd career game to tie former defensive end Reggie White for fourth place in NFL history for games played by a University of Tennessee product. The only former Volunteers with more NFL game appearances than Cox and White are tight end Jason Witten (271 NFL games), quarterback Peyton Manning (266) and punter Dustin Colquitt (255).

LB LUKE GIFFORD

  • Led the team with eight tackles and added a pass defensed.
  • It was his third time to lead the defense in tackles within a four-game span.

OLB ARDEN KEY

  • Credited with five tackles against his former team, tying for his second-best tackle total of 2024 through 16 games.

DL JAMES LYNCH

  • Helped end a Jaguars drive in the first quarter with a one-yard sack of Mac Jones. It was his first sack of 2024, which gave him three career sacks.

TE DAVID MARTIN-ROBINSON

  • Logged his first NFL start at tight end.

CB ROGER McCREARY

  • Totaled four tackles, including a tackle for loss.
  • Registered his 12th tackle for loss of 2024, which tied Cincinnati's Mike Hilton for the most among NFL defensive backs in 2024 through the early afternoon games of Dec. 29.

TE CHIG OKONKWO

  • Tied for the team lead with five receptions for 42 yards.
  • Rushed for a career-long 17-yard gain in the second quarter.
  • Caught an 18-yard pass to convert a third down in the third quarter.
  • Reached the 50-catch mark for the second consecutive season. His 52 receptions in 2024 are two fewer than his career-high 54 in 2023.
  • Tallied his third consecutive game with at least five receptions.
  • With 22 receptions over a three-game stretch, Okonkwo tied the franchise record among tight ends (since 1970) for the most receptions in a three-game span. Only Delanie Walker, who had 22 receptions within three games in 2015 (Nov. 19-Dec. 6) has equaled Okonkwo's total among franchise tight ends since 1970.

WR CALVIN RIDLEY

  • Led the offense with 84 receiving yards and tied for the team lead with five receptions against his former team.
  • Registered his 28th career game with at least five receptions and 80 receiving yards, and he logged his fourth such performance of 2024.
  • Converted a third-and-eight with a 19-yard reception in the third quarter.
  • In the fourth quarter, he contributed catches of 24 yards and 20 yards.
  • Added a seven-yard rushing attempt.
  • Reached 900 yards for the third season in his career (941).
  • Logged his 11th consecutive game with a catch of at least 20 yards. It is the best such streak of his career and also the second-longest by a Titans player since the beginning of the 2000 campaign (12 by Delanie Walker, 2015-16).

QB MASON RUDOLPH

  • Registered his fifth start of the season (18th career) and completed 19 of 31 passes for 193 yards with one touchdown and one interception.
  • Added 23 rushing yards on five attempts.
  • Completed an eight-yard touchdown pass to Nick Vannett in the third quarter.
  • Found Calvin Ridley for completions of 24 yards and 20 yards in the fourth quarter.

DT JEFFERY SIMMONS

  • Credited with five tackles.
  • Registered his fifth consecutive game with at least five tackles, which is the longest such streak of his career.

RB TYJAE SPEARS

  • Recorded his first start of the season and the second start of his career.
  • Led the offense with 20 carries and 95 rushing yards, setting career highs in both categories before leaving the contest in the third quarter due to an injury.
  • Added eight yards on three receptions to give him 103 scrimmage yards. It was his second career game to reach the 100-yard scrimmage mark.
  • Totaled a career-high six rushing first downs in the contest.
  • Tied his career long with a 23-yard rushing attempt during the offense's first series.

P RYAN STONEHOUSE

  • Averaged 49.7 gross yards and 40.0 net yards on three punts with one punt placed inside the 20.
  • Pinned Jacksonville at its four-yard line with a 38-yard punt in the first quarter.
  • Booted a 61-yard punt for a touchback in the second quarter.
  • Extended his career-best streak and the NFL's longest active streak with his 23rd consecutive game with at least one punt of 50-plus yards.

TE NICK VANNETT

  • Scored his third touchdown of the season on an eight-yard pass from Mason Rudolph in the third quarter. It was his ninth career touchdown reception.
  • His three touchdown catches in 2024 tied his career high, which he first established in 2018.

WR NICK WESTBROOK-IKHINE

  • Totaled 37 yards on three receptions.
  • Caught an 18-yard pass from Mason Rudolph in the third quarter to convert a third down.

S DARYL WORLEY

  • Tied for second on the defense with seven tackles.

K MATTHEW WRIGHT

  • Made both field goals and his only extra point attempt in his Titans debut.
  • Connected on his first attempt with the Titans, a 39-yard field goal as time expired in the first half.
  • Added a 28-yarder in the fourth quarter.
