TEAM NOTES
- The Titans registered their third game of 2024 in which they scored at least 27 points.
- The Titans scored four touchdowns for the first time since doing so in the 2023 season finale against Jacksonville (Jan. 7).
- The Titans' 25 total first downs (nine rushing and 13 passing) amounted to a season high through 14 games.
- The Titans offense converted five of its eight chances on third down for a season-high 62.5 third-down percentage. It was the team's best third-down percentage since a 66.7 percent showing (eight conversions on 12 attempts) against Kansas City on Oct. 24, 2021.
- The Titans' 374 total yards ranked third for the offense through 14 games in 2024.
- The Titans' 291 net passing yards established a season high through 14 games.
- The Titans offense scored touchdowns on all four of its red-zone possessions against the Bengals. It was the team's first game scoring four or more red-zone touchdowns since doing so four times in a win at Green Bay on Nov. 17, 2022.
- For the first time in 2024, the Titans scored touchdowns on their first two offensive possessions of the game. Tony Pollard rushed for a three-yard score, followed by a one-yard touchdown run by Tyjae Spears. The Titans previously in 2024 scored points on their first two possessions of a game on one occasion, Nov. 24 at Houston, when they had a field goal and a touchdown.
- The Titans defense generated four takeaways against the Bengals. It was the team's first time forcing four or more turnovers in a game since doing so (four interceptions) in a win against Jacksonville on Dec. 12, 2021.
- For the second consecutive game and for the fourth time in 2024, the Titans defense began the game with a takeaway on the opponent's first possession. Against the Bengals, linebacker Luke Gifford picked off a pass by Joe Burrow. Previously, the Titans defense began the game by forcing a turnover at Miami (Sept. 30), against Minnesota (Nov. 17) and against Jacksonville (Dec. 8). The Titans lead the NFL in 2024 in first-possession takeaways (through early afternoon games of Dec. 15).
- For the ninth time in 2024, the Titans won the time-of-possession battle, holding the ball against Cincinnati for 31 minutes and 29 seconds.
- For the second time in 2024 all 48 players on the gameday roster participated in the game (Sept. 30 at Miami).
CB CHIDOBE AWUZIE
- Totaled six tackles and one pass defensed against his former team.
WR TYLER BOYD
- Totaled 39 yards on two receptions against his former team.
- Converted a third-and-nine with a season-long 40-yard reception in the first quarter.
LB LUKE GIFFORD
- Recorded an interception and led the team with eight tackles before leaving the game with a concussion in the second quarter.
- Recorded his first career interception in the first quarter, picking off a Joe Burrow pass at Cincinnati's 29-yard line on the second snap of the game.
- Became the first Titans defender in 2024 with an interception and eight tackles in a game.
OLB HAROLD LANDRY III
- Tallied three tackles, including a sack.
- Credited with a sack and helped create a turnover in the second quarter. On the play, as he was sacking Joe Burrow, T'Vondre Sweat was credited with a forced fumble and fumble recovery for the Titans.
- Increased his season total to eight sacks, securing his fourth career season and second consecutive season with at least eight sacks.
- Increased his career total to 49.5 sacks, which ranks eighth in franchise history and third for the franchise in its "Titans era" (1999–present), trailing only Jevon Kearse (52) and Jurrell Casey (51) in that period.
QB WILL LEVIS
- Completed eight of 12 passes for 89 yards with three interceptions.
- Helped convert a third-and-nine with a 40-yard completion to Tyler Boyd in the first quarter.
LB KENNETH MURRAY JR.
- Tied for second on the defense with seven tackles.
TE CHIG OKONKWO
- Led the offense and established a career high with eight receptions for 59 yards. His yardage total was the fifth-best of his career.
- Became the first Titans tight end with eight or more receptions in a game since Anthony Firkser had eight catches against the Houston Texans on Oct. 18, 2020.
- Drew a pass interference penalty that led to a first-and-goal and a Titans touchdown in the first quarter.
RB TONY POLLARD
- Led the offense with 45 yards on 17 rushing attempts, including a touchdown.
- Scored his fourth touchdown of the season on a three-yard run in the first quarter. It was his 28th career rushing touchdown.
WR CALVIN RIDLEY
- Totaled 41 yards on three receptions.
- Credited with a 19-yard rushing attempt in the third quarter.
- With 21 yards on a pass from Mason Rudolph in the fourth quarter, he logged his ninth consecutive game with a catch of at least 20 yards to extend his career-best streak and the third-longest such streak by a Titans player since the beginning of the 2000 campaign (12 by Delanie Walker, 2015-16; 10 by Kevin Dyson, 2001).
QB MASON RUDOLPH
- Entered the game in the third quarter. He completed 21 of 26 passes for 209 yards with two touchdowns and one interception.
- Recorded a 109.8 passer rating, which was the fifth-best passer rating of his career.
- Completed a pair of touchdown passes in the fourth quarter: a 17-yard touchdown pass to Tyjae Spears and a 13-yarder to Josh Whyle. He increased his season total to six touchdown passes and improved his career total to 25 touchdown passes.
- Logged his eighth career game with at least two touchdown passes.
- Added 14 yards on two rushing attempts.
DT JEFFERY SIMMONS
- Tied for second on the defense with seven tackles, including a team-high two tackles for loss.
- Logged his 12th career game with two or more tackles for loss. His 12 such games since entering the NFL in 2019 rank second on the Titans behind Harold Landry III (14).
RB TYJAE SPEARS
- Led the team with 87 receiving yards on six receptions, including a touchdown catch. He added five yards and a touchdown on four rushing attempts.
- Logged his second career game with a rushing touchdown and a receiving touchdown after previously accomplishing the feat against Jacksonville on Jan. 7, 2024.
- Scored on a one-yard rushing attempt in the first quarter. It was his second rushing touchdown of the season and the fourth rushing touchdown of his career.
- Scored again on a 17-yard pass from Mason Rudolph in the fourth quarter.
- Turned a short pass into a 43-yard gain in the fourth quarter. It was the second-longest reception of his career.
- Registered his second career game with 80-plus receiving yards. No other Titans running back logged one such game since the beginning of 2010.
P RYAN STONEHOUSE
- Launched a 67-yard punt in the third quarter. To date, it was his second-longest punt of the season behind his 75-yarder against Indianapolis on Oct. 13.
- Recorded his 21st consecutive game with at least one punt of 50-plus yards. It established a new career-best streak, beating his previous streak of 20 games from 2022 to 2023. Stonehouse entered the week with the NFL's third-longest active streak of games with a 50-yard punt behind Rigoberto Sanchez (29) and AJ Cole (23).
DT T'VONDRE SWEAT
- Credited with three tackles, a forced fumble and a fumble recovery.
- Recorded his first career forced fumble and his first career fumble recovery in the second quarter, stripping the ball from Joe Burrow and returning it 30 yards.
TE JOSH WHYLE
- Totaled 37 yards and a touchdown on five receptions.
- Caught a 13-yard touchdown pass from Mason Rudolph on the final play of the game. It was his second career touchdown catch and his first of 2024.
LB JAMES WILLIAMS
- Registered the first seven tackles of his career to tie for second on the defense.
- Added a tackle on special teams.
S DARYL WORLEY
- Totaled five tackles and an interception.
- Recorded his first interception of the season in the third quarter, picking off a Joe Burrow pass at the Tennessee three-yard line. It was Worley's sixth career interception.
