Elaine Hamilton from Glasgow, Scotland
Question:
Are you able to shed light on Caleb Shudak? He doesn't appear on the rehabbing injuries inside type list, nor is he kicking? Where is he and what's he doing? Thanks as always for your columns.

Jim: Hi Elaine. Caleb is back and kicking again. It was interesting to see kicker Trey Wolff get most the work for a stretch there, but Caleb kicked on Wednesday and Thursday of this week's minicamp. I've been charting the field goals in the open periods, and Shudak is 14-of-15, while Wolff, who signed as an undrafted free agent from Texas Tech earlier this offseason, is 29-of-32 during the open periods. Both of those guys have kicked well so far.

Austin Hicks from Muncie, Indiana
Question:
Hey Jim. I was wondering on how Malik Willis has been looking through OTAs so far. From my perspective last year he just looked uncomfortable in the pocket, and I was curious if it seemed like he was gaining so more confidence in his ability and more comfortable with the offense.

Jim: Hi Austin. Malik did look uncomfortable in the pocket last year. I've seen improvement from him this offseason. I mentioned in Thursday's minicamp observations he's been more decisive this offseason, and he's getting the ball out quicker as a result. I thought he had his best practice of the offseason on Thursday. Malik is still working through some inconsistencies, and his technique. But he's making progress.

Edward McKinney from Antioch, Tennessee
Question:
Please share updates on the LT competition between Peter Skoronski and Andre Dillard. Who is standing out the most when going against veteran DTs and OLBs? Also, how is undrafted OLB from Ferris State looking so far?

Jim: Hey Edward. Both of those guys are still competing, splitting reps at different positions. In these non-padded practices, it's hard to say who is standing out. As for Caleb Murphy, the undrafted free agent from Ferris State you're referring, too, he's flashed. I actually talked to him last week – he's a nice young man. He's going to have to show he can help on special teams to help his chances of earning a spot. Physically, he sure looks the part.

Miller Hile from Nashville, Tennessee
Question:
Hi I really love Jacob Copeland, Kearis Johnson, and Colton Dowell will any of them start??

Jim: I'm having Jim Mora thoughts here. Start? Start? These guys need to focus on making the team.

James Rogers from Ojai, California
Question:
Hi Jim, been a Titans/Oilers fan since 78', the Earl Campbell, Luv ya Blue days. Quick question: Mason Kinsey played in pre season games for the Titans and I thought he had great hands and gets open quite a bit. Is it his size? Or is it because he is not versatile enough? We're not exactly overflowing with talent at the WR position. Just wondering, seems like they need a guy like this. Maybe a Wes Welker type. Any thoughts, does he have a chance to make it this year? Thank you and have a great day. TITAN UP!

Jim: Hey James. Mason Kinsey is an easy guy to root for, an underdog who just keeps scrapping. He shows up at practice sometimes in his old Berry College gray shorts, a reminder of the Division III program where he came from. Mason is competing, just like he always does. He's going to make it hard for the team to cut him because he doesn't concede anything. I expect Mason to put himself in the mix again this year, but there's no denying he faces a challenge. He's fully aware of that. Because he's so similar to Kyle Philips, he's a great candidate for the practice squad if he doesn't manage to make the 53-man roster.

Hunter Johnson from McMinnville, Tennessee
Question:
Hey Jim, Hunter here. I appreciate the feedback. One question, how is Jeffery Simmons doing after that ankle injury? TITAN UP TITAN FANS!!!!!

Jim: He's sure looked good to me.

Mike Thomas from Crowley, Texas
Question:
Mr. Jim Wyatt I am a Titans fan do you think the Titans are still a playoff team?

Jim: Ask me in January.

Have a great weekend everyone!
