It's now full steam ahead toward the NFL Draft.

Andrew Mccleary from Melbourne, Australia
Question: Just a quick observation Jim. I had the pleasure of meeting Chig Okonkwo at a Super Bowl event in Melbourne and I came away so impressed with his attitude and grace. He must have taken dozens of photos with fans and was thrilled to see Titans fans in attendance. He even gave us an answer when asked who he'd like to see the Titans draft with the first pick. Young men like Chig are a credit to the team and deserve every success next year. Titan Up!
Jim: Great story, Andrew. And good to hear Chig is making the most of his offseason. I need to get over to Australia one day! I'm curious about his answer to the question, though…
Steve Kwiczak from Strathmore, Alberta
Question: Hey there Jim, I dont really have a question but more my take on what the titans should do with the number one pick in the coming draft. First and foremost ...lets be honest ...the best weapon in todays NFL is salary cap space. with that said my belief is the Titans should trade the number one pick....assuming either Cleveland or the Giants are willing partners ( would not trade back past number 3). my thinking is you can still get either Carter the edge rusher or Jeanty at 3 as both those teams will take QB's.
This increases draft capital to fill other holes on this team. specifically the O-line. I am not stating that Levis is the answer at QB...I am saying there is time while Levis is still on his rookie deal for 2 more seasons and 2 more drafts to build this roster .
Maybe Levis turns into a star maybe not ....but if all the other pcs are in place and you have cap space due to patience, then you can go and draft, trade for or sign the QB. The last thing we as Titans fans is to become like Chicago, Cleveland, or Washington with a revolving door of wasted drafts at QB when realistically that draft capital can be used elsewhere and save a lot of dead cap issues.
Thanks for the time and have a great off season.
Jim: Hey Steve. Trading the pick is a popular opinion for a lot of fans. I've noticed. It would allow the team to get extra picks, and address more needs for sure.
Rick Davidson from Paducah, Kentucky
Question: Decisions, decisions, decisions. What do we do with the #1 pick? If we don't sign a veteran quarterback, then I think Sanders is a better long term option. If we do sign a veteran quarterback, then Abdul Carter is the best overall player in the draft. The offensive line has to be addressed, of course. If we put Sanders, or any quarterback, behind an offensive line like we had this past season, they'll fare no better than Levis. Just putting my two cents in. Have a great week, Jim. Titan up!
Jim: Thanks for weighing, Rick.
Devon Chester from Memphis, Tennessee
Question: Hey Jim. I've been a long time titans fan since I got to see them play here in Memphis. Have you heard any news concerning bringing in a pro bowler like Trey Smith? I've heard that gm Mike B has a good opinion on Trey Smith. What's your view on him? Thanks.
Jim: I like Trey Smith as a person, spent some time with him as the past three Super Bowls. And, he's obviously a really good player, too. There is no news on this front. Trey won't become a free agent until next month. I'm sure the Chiefs like him as well.
Jeremy Rodriguez from Winchester, California
Question: Hey Jim, Hope all is well and you are staying warm. So now that the season is over and the offseason is kicking off, where do you see the focus turning for Borgonzi and Callahan? I know March 4th is a big day to see what FA signings may be a possibility and then Pro Days. I hope there is a Team out there that will give a hefty trade package for the #1 pick . Let's be honest, one player will not turn this team around. There are a lot of holes in the O'line, secondary and linebackers need help. The phrase "generational talent" is being used way to often and most of these young adults are not ready for that responsibility. I hope they add guys that are quality players, good people and great teammates. Have a great weekend Jim and as always TITAN UP!!
Jim: Hey Jeremy. Borgonzi said the focus is to rebuild, and improve the lines – on offense and defense. Obviously this team has a lot of areas for improvement. The whole "generational talent" line used by Chad Brinker a few weeks back got a lot of attention. Most folks thought he was referring to a player in this draft. I'm not so sure he was. Are there talented players in this draft? Sure, that's the case every year. But I'd be careful about going all in on that line and what he meant.
Will Mallory from Hendersonville, Tennessee
Question: Make this team better. I've been a fan since 2010 and i haven't seen us succeed since 2021-22. Bench will levis so he can devolve and trade for an aging star like Dak Prescott or Stafford. Then sign Tee Higgins and Najee Harris in the off season. Trade tony pollard to the cowboys or raiders for an early 2nd or early 1st. start the rebuilding NOW!
Jim: The rebuilding is under way, Will. Not sure it's going to include some of your moves, though.
Gabriel Abraham from Crossville, Tennessee
Question: Hey Jim, hope you are doing great! Love that you do these to help keep the fans caught up with everything. It's especially important this offseason, as this one is a big one in determining the future direction of this franchise. I remember last year, there was a great draft party hosted at Nissan Stadium. I went with my friends and it was an awesome time. I hope they do it again this year on draft night. It would certainly make the draft a lot more fun! Any word on if this will happen? If not, let them know there that I'd like to see one this year. That oughtta convince them 😂.
Jim: Hi Gabriel. Good question on the potential draft party. Check back with me on this next month, as we get closer.
Stacey George from Tennessee
Question: Ha it's ruff for any quarterback to throw the ball when there under the pressure like Will an Mason were under this past season. Will did just a little better but not by very much. My point is after watching superbowl 59 it was like watching the titan playing football last year that defense was all over Mahomes 6 sacks he was hit way too many times. Football games are won in the trenches! Trade the #1 for more draft capital and if there's no traders use it on the very best player! Yes Heather wrote a hole book in one sentence. Thank you for all you do Jim I read your mailbag ever week Titanup guys things will get better have faith.
Jim: Good to hear from you, Stacey. No doubt the team needs to address the offensive line, and I promise you the team will.
Have a great weekend everyone!
