NASHVILLE – The Titans got it done in Houston.
Sunday's win over the Texans was a welcome sight, and a break from the misery of recent losses.
Now, the Commanders are up next.
Let's jump into this Tuesday's mailbag to see how everyone is feeling …

Question: Hey Jim. Wow, that was actually an entertaining game for once this year!!! I like the way the guys battled all game, especially the defensive line. Congrats on Meatloaf for getting his first sack in front of Big Momma! I hope she cooks him a feast with all the fixins. To me, this season has been all about giving games away with bonehead turnovers, terrible special teams play, and penalties. The concerning thing is, none of those issues were corrected in this game, but we still found a way to win. Kudos to Callahan, he called a good game and let Will have a little more shots down field. The offensive penalties and sacks have got to get corrected though... Most of those sacks were on Levis too. Although he turned in a pretty good day, the between the ears stuff is still lingering. What are your thoughts?
Jim: Hey Josh. My thoughts are it was a good day on Sunday for Will Levis, and the Titans. And, Titans fans should be excited about it. Like it or not, Levis has shown a lot of spunk since coming back from his injury. Has he been perfect? No. The pick-6 was bad, and some of those sacks were on him. But he's shown improvement over the past three weeks, and that's encouraging for the team. And let's not pretend every QB doesn't make mistakes – Patrick Mahomes has 11 interceptions this season. What's important for Levis is he needs to learn from his mistakes, and keep getting better.

Question: Hola Jim, Again thank you for keeping us in the know. Been a minute since we could write in after a win. And wow what a win. Finally saw an opened up offense to help out the horrible o-line we have. Although Will held the ball too long a couple of times he didn't make any bonehead plays aside from the pick 6. Was glad to see a different ref squad who didn't kill us with bogus penalties. Again another superb performance by the defensive unit. Commentators boasted that CJ had zero picks against division rivals in his short career, Jinx. Special teams still killing us as well as guys not being able to wrap up and finish a tackle. Overall it was what I anyway, expected to see from this team at the start of the year, can't wait to see if we can continue to progress and win out this year with the remaining relatively softer schedule. Great birthday present for me (Nov 21st) and been a fan of the franchise since the age of 8 when I first saw Dan Pastorini in an oiler uniform. Over 50 years of highs but mostly lows and keeping fingers crossed we will only improve and get that trophy in the next couple of years. Thanks again for all you do Jim and Titan Up!!
Jim: Good to hear from you, Sergio. Hope you had a great birthday!
Franky Markle from Dyersburg, Tennessee
Question: Hey Jim, it's been a while. I hope all is well. I read all the emails. I understand all the frustration, but I love this team!! I'm talking about the Titans in general, since 1997 (TN Oilers). Yes I was there for them all. My sons have grown up being Titans fans and we've had a lot of great times being FANS of the Titans!! Being a fan has let me and my sons spend ALOT of time together!! Good days and bad, but all good hanging with the boys!! It's sad that our Oline and special teams have let us down so many times this year, but I'm sure it'll get fixed and a #1 seed in the AFC is in our future!! TITANUP!!!! Sorry no question.
Jim: Thanks for writing in, Franky. The mood is much better in here this week.
Jonathan Lindsey from Boonville, Indiana
Question: Yaaaaay!!!!!!
Jim: Enough said, Jonathan.
Jeremy Rodriguez from Winchester, California
Question: Good Sunday Jim! What a game. It has been a long time since both the Longhorns and Titans have won on the same weekend. So I am very thankful. This is what I imaged this offense to be back in OTAs. An offense that can produce 30 points even with a few hiccups. The turnovers are still something this team does way to much. Ridley and Chig finally got opportunities to make some plays in space. Whatever scheme Callahan had Sunday, it needs to be almost identical next week. Commanders have a fast front four so timing and getting it out of Levis' hand is a must. Hope you have a great week, HAPPY THANKSGIVING JIM!! We are all Thankful for you and your journalism. As always TITAN UP!!!
Jim: Happy Thanksgiving Jeremy. Appreciate it.
Sean Kelley from Smyrna, Delaware
Question: I think if you asked an "AI" bot to take every Titan game since 1999 and summarize it in one game yesterday would have been the results it spit out! Also tell RAN I loved the sports coat. Thats what we all should be wearing. He gets it.
Jim: Hey Sean. It was a wild game for sure.
Josh Cantu from Houston, Texas
Question: HELLO JIM. Was at the game Sunday wow what a game TITANS came to play.
Jim: I know Titans fans in Houston were fired up about that one!
Christopher Harris from College Station, Texas
Question: Howdy Jim. It's been a while since my last question, but I was just curious. Is it POSSIBLE, if we win out in the division, we WIN the conference?? Go figure...
Jim: Hey Christopher. This is not true. If the Titans win out, they'd still need help, and a lot of it. The Texans are 7-5, and they'd need to collapse. But the Titans need to focus on winning back-to-back games, something that hasn't happened since October 2022.
Guapi Hopkins from Mt. Juliet, Tennessee
Question: Why is Colt Anderson still employed with this franchise? his name is COLT for gods sake.
Jim: I get why I got this email – there were more blunders on special teams on Sunday. And, it's been a rough season in that department. We've talked about it plenty in this mailbag. But were Sunday's issues really on the special teams coach? I don't think so. The returner's job is to hold on to the football, and rookie Jha'Quan Jackson muffed the punt. It's the job of the guys on coverage teams to tackle, and they had the Texans returner surrounded on Sunday, and didn't tackle him. Rookie Cedric Gray literally had the guy in his grasp. Yes, it's been a rough season for Colt's group. Way too many blunders, and it's contributed to the 3-8 record. He deserves to be held accountable, and he's had to answer for the mistakes all season. I understand why some folks have been calling for his job. But … that doesn't mean everyone else gets a free pass. In my mind, Sunday wasn't on the special teams coach. The players are getting paid, too.
Trout Dawg from Long Beach California
Question: Why? You're not going to put this in the next fans report,, I realize that,,, but we should just cut bait now ,, this coach is not a head coach,, swallow the pride,, all the routes are back toward to QB nothing in stride ,, we blew it ! So disappointed and mark my words this is not gonna work,, Cally doesn't have it ,,,he is a OC and that's fine but not a head man ,, firing Vrabel is going to haunt us for years. When we had Vrabs it bought us credits,, now we are just wasting time. SO DISAPPOINTED IN THE DIRECTION I DONT CARE HOW NICE HE IS ,, I WANT MY TEAM TO BE TOUGH,, WE SUCK,, #1 in Red zone to last in red zone defense that tells it all,, Good luck and bababooeee to you all
Jim: Got this one about two hours before kickoff, Trout Dawg. Of course I put it in here.
Have a great Thanksgiving week everyone!
