NASHVILLE – The Titans completed a first-round virtual interview on Saturday with Colts Assistant General Manager Ed Dodds for the team's General Manager position.
Interviews with other candidates will continue on Saturday, and in the coming days.
Dodds is in his eighth season with the Colts, and his 22nd in the NFL. He's in his seventh season as assistant general manager in Indianapolis.
Prior to joining the Colts, Dodds spent 10 seasons (2007-2016) with the Seattle Seahawks.
Prior to that, Dodds served as Seattle's senior personnel executive and was responsible for evaluating both college and pro talent. He's also spent time with the Raiders and his alma mater, Texas A&M-Kingsville.
On Tuesday, Titans controlling owner Amy Adams Strunk made the decision to part ways with general manager Ran Carthon, who was hired prior to the 2023 season.
Chad Brinker, the Titans president of football operations, is running the search for the new GM.
The plan is to interview a large number of candidates, including personnel evaluators across the NFL.
The Titans previously interviewed Dolphins Senior Personnel Executive Reggie McKenzie, former Falcons GM Thomas Dimitroff and Buccaneers Assistant General Manager John Spytek.
After the first round of interviews, additional interviews are expected to be conducted with those advancing in the process as the team looks to identify its next general manager.
