Quick Hits on the Titans From Wednesday of Texans Week

QuickHits-(11)

NASHVILLE – The Titans returned to the practice field on Wednesday at Ascension Saint Thomas Sports Park to continue preparations for Sunday's game vs the Houston Texans.

Here's a look at today's developments:

-Titans quarterback Will Levis got the message from Coach Mike Vrabel.

Stay safe, and slide when the opportunity presents itself.

"It's been a point of emphasis, going back to last week," Levis said on Wednesday. "I obviously needed to take the coaching points a little better. I just need to make sure that I know that I am not putting my body in harm's way.

"My best ability is my availability, and I have to know that."

Levis was helicoptered in the air after taking a big hit against the Colts back on December 3.

Against the Dolphins, he lowered his shoulder and ran straight through Dolphins defensive back Jalen Ramsey in a vicious collision on Monday night.

Vrabel kidded on Tuesday the team plans to show Levis tape of quarterbacks getting the (expletive) knocked of them in an effort to sway his on-field decision making. Earlier, coaches showed Levis tape of quarterbacks sliding to protect themselves.

"When we were going through the film yesterday," Levis said with a smile, "(Coach Vrabel) popped in and said the cut-up this week will probably look a lot different than it did last week."

-The Titans placed cornerback Kristian Fulton on Injured Reserve earlier on Wednesday.

The move effectively ends Fulton's 2023 season, unless the Titans make the postseason, since NFL rules require him missing at least four games.

Fulton started the first 11 games of the season.

"It's definitely tough, because I love this game, love to play every Sunday," Fulton said. "But injuries are a part of the game, they happen at the craziest times when you may not expect it. … I just have to get healthy at this point."

- The Titans signed defensive linemen Quinton Bohanna and Keondre Coburn to their 53-man roster after plucking them off practice squads of the Lions and Chiefs, respectively.

Both players practiced on Wednesday, Bohanna in No.97, Coburn in No. 91.

I did a separate story on the transaction, which also included defensive lineman Kyle Peko going on Injured Reserve. CLICK HERE to read that story.
