It's Colts Week: Quick Hits on the Titans After Thursday's Practice

NASHVILLE – The Titans returned to the practice field on Thursday at Ascension Saint Thomas Sports Park to continue preparations for Sunday's game at the Indianapolis Colts.

Here's a look at today's developments:

-Titans defensive lineman T'Vondre Sweat electrified the crowd – and his teammates – on Sunday when he rumbled 30 yards after recovering a fumble against the Bengals.

Sweat unleashed a pretty mean stiff-arm on the play, which helped get the attention of NFL's Network's Kyle Brandt, who awarded the big man with this week's 'Angry Runs' scepter.

The prize arrived at the team's facility this week, and on Thursday, Sweat had it with him in the locker room.

"Coming from the best running back in the game right now," Sweat said with a smile, the scepter resting on his right shoulder. "I can't be any more grateful, man. This is great for me. My running back skills paid off with me training with Derrick (Henry). … Everybody was excited for me, especially seeing a big guy like me do something like that. It was pretty cool."

Sweat had some fun with the run, and the award.

But now he's ready to get back to work.

A second-round pick by the Titans in the 2024 NFL Draft, Sweat has played 552 snaps on defense this season.

No rookie defensive lineman has played more snaps.

"Probably some of y'all were doubting me about my conditioning," Sweat said. "I just came to work and blocked out the outside noise and just continued to do what I do best, which is to play football."

-The Titans moved receiver Colton Dowell to the team's 'Designated for Return' list earlier this week.

On Wednesday, Dowell practiced with the team for the first time this season since suffering a torn ACL at the end of the 2023 season.

Dowell was back at practice on Thursday, and he worked on a limited basis.

The designation opened up a three-week window for Dowell to practice with the team, and he will not count against the team's 53-man roster until being activated from the team's Reserve/Physically Unable to Perform list.

Now, for all the injury updates from Thursday:

-Receiver Tyler Boyd (foot) did not practice.

-The Titans placed tackle Jaelyn Duncan on the team's 'Designated for Return' earlier this month, when he practiced for the first time since suffering a hamstring injury in the team's October 20 game against the Bills.

Duncan practiced in full again on Thursday. Coach Brian Callahan recently said Duncan has a chance to rejoin the 53-man roster at some point.

-The Colts released their second injury report of the week on Thursday, and it looked like this:
