NASHVILLE – The Titans returned to the practice field on Friday at Ascension Saint Thomas Sports Park to continue preparations for Sunday's game vs the Jacksonville Jaguars.
Here's a look at today's developments:
-Cornerback Chidobe Awuzie is expected to be back in the mix on Sunday for the Titans.
Awuzie, who began practicing a week ago after being placed on the team's 'Designated for Return' list, hasn't played since being placed on Injured Reserve on September 27 with a groin injury.
The team plans to activate him from Injured Reserve ahead of Sunday's game.
"Chido should be good to go, he practiced all week full," Callahan said. "We anticipate activating him. … We gave him plenty of time to get healthy and to get into shape, and everything he's done so far looks like he's ready to play. I'm excited about that for him. Glad to have him back, we need him. I'm looking forward to watching him go."
-Callahan announced guard Logan Bruss suffered a torn ACL in Thursday's practice and he's out for the season.
-Callahan didn't rule out any other Titans for Sunday's game because of injury. Callahan said decisions on some players who've missed practice time during the week will be made leading up to gameday.
-Receiver Calvin Ridley, who previously played with the Jaguars, will be the extra captain for Sunday's game.
-Callahan didn't name the team's punt returner for Sunday's game after mentioning earlier in the week Mason Kinsey could replace Jha'Quan Jackson.
"We'll take that one to gameday as well," Callahan said of the decision.
-The Titans placed tackle Jaelyn Duncan on the team's 'Designated for Return' list earlier in the week, when he practiced for the first time since suffering a hamstring injury in the team's October 20 game against the Bills.
The return to practice designation opened up a three-week window for Duncan to practice with the team, and he will not count against the team's 53-man roster until being activated from Injured Reserve.
Duncan practiced again on Friday, but he's not expected to be activated by Sunday.
