It's Jaguars Week: Quick Hits on the Titans From Christmas Eve

12-24-24-quick-hits

NASHVILLE – The Titans returned to the practice field on Tuesday at Ascension Saint Thomas Sports Park to continue preparations for Sunday's game at the Jacksonville Jaguars.

Here's a look at today's developments:

-The biggest news of the day came at the quarterback position.

Coach Brian Callahan said on Tuesday the team plans to start Mason Rudolph once again on Sunday at the Jacksonville Jaguars.

"I think he's earned himself another shot to play, and he did a lot of good things in the game," Callahan said. "Obviously the one interception was probably his only really poor moment. The rest of it was pretty well executed on his part and operated in a drop back passing game and had to fight his way back through it. And it was good to see. So we'll let him take another crack at it."

I wrote a separate story on that: CLICK HERE.

-The Titans held a walkthrough on Tuesday.

The team isn't required to put out an Injury Report today.

Callahan said "we've got a bunch of guys dinged up, a bunch of guys that's going to take all week to get some resolution on. So, it's a lengthy list this week, unfortunately."

-The Titans activated tackle Jaelyn Duncan from Injured Reserve on Monday, and he's expected to play this weekend at right tackle, either as a starter, or in a rotation.

"I'd love to see Jaelyn (Duncan) play," Callahan said. "He was up for the game in Buffalo and only went a couple of plays before he hurt his hamstring, and it was a pretty significant hamstring injury. And so we'd like to see him play a bit and that'll be the plan this week. We'll see what it looks like by the time we get to the game day. But I'd like to see Jaelyn play some football for us."

I chatted with Duncan on Tuesday:

-Callahan said receiver Colton Dowell, who returned to practice earlier this month, is still working his way back. He made no promised about Dowell potentially playing over the next two weeks.

"He won't be activated this week," Callahan said of Dowell. "I'd say it's probably an outside shot for next week at best. He's still getting back in the routine of practice and all that. He's not quite all the way there yet to play football competitively."

-I chatted with several guys on Tuesday.
