221102-quick-hits

NASHVILLE – The Titans returned to the practice field on Wednesday at Ascension Saint Thomas Sports Park to continue preparations for Sunday's game against the Chiefs at GEHA Field at Arrowhead Stadium.

Here's a look at some Titans topics in quick-hitting fashion:

-The biggest question at the start of this week, of course, centers on the health of starting quarterback Ryan Tannehill.

Tannehill returned to practice on a limited basis on Wednesday, and I wrote a separate story on him: CLICK HERE.

Here's a look at the rest of today's developments.

-Titans cornerback Elijah Molden practiced for the first time during the regular season.

Earlier in the day, the team designated Molden to return to practice from the team's Injured Reserve list.

The move opens his 21-day window to be activated.

"It feels great (to be back)," Molden said. "Obviously it's a long time coming, and in a perfect world I wouldn't have missed this much time. … I really had to work on my patience, of course, and also trying to figure out new ways to lock in, working.

"I feel good enough to go, and I am only getting better."

A third-round draft pick in the 2021 NFL Draft, Molden was placed on Injured Reserve back on September 9 after missing a long stretch of practices because of a groin injury.

As a rookie in 2021, Molden appeared in 16 games with seven starts. He ranked fifth on the team and first among Titans rookies with 60 tackles and one interception for a touchdown. Additionally, Molden was credited with six quarterback pressures, three tackles for a loss, four passes defensed, one forced fumbled, one fumble recovery and two stops on special teams.

Here's more from Molden on Wednesday:

-Titans outside linebacker Rashad Weaver (back) returned to practice on Wednesday after missing Sunday's game in Houston. Weaver was listed as a full participant.

Here's a clip from Weaver from the locker room on Wednesday:

-Titans safety Amani Hooker, who suffered a shoulder injury on Sunday, did not practice on Wednesday.

-Titans fullback Tory Carter (neck), inactive the last two games, did not practice on Wednesday.

-Titans defensive lineman Jeff Simmons (ankle) did not practice on Wednesday.

-Titans running back Derrick Henry (foot) was limited in Wednesday's practice.

-Titans defensive tackle Naquan Jones (illness) did not practice on Wednesday.

-Titans offensive lineman Aaron Brewer (foot) was limited in Wednesday's practice.

-Titans defensive lineman Sam Okuayinonu (knee) was limited in Wednesday's practice.

-Titans defensive lineman Kevin Strong (ankle) was limited in Wednesday's practice.

-Tight end Antony Auclair, signed to the team's practice squad earlier in the week, practiced with the team for the first time. Auclair has been assigned No. 84.

-The Chiefs released their first Injury Report on Wednesday, and it looked like this: TE Jody Fortson (quad/illness) did not practice. LB Willie Gay (hamstring) was limited. DE Mike Danna (calf), WR Mecole Hardman (heel), CB Trent McDuffie (hamstring), RB Jerick McKinnon (shoulder) and DT Derrick Nnadi (Achilles) were full participants.

-The Titans are scheduled to practice again on Thursday and Friday before holding a walkthrough on Saturday before traveling to Kansas City for Sunday's game vs the Chiefs.
