NASHVILLE – The Titans hit the practice field on Wednesday to continue preparations for Sunday's home opener against the Los Angeles Chargers.
Here's a look at the developments of the day, in quick-hitting fashion …
-Outside linebacker Arden Key was a game-wrecker in his first game as a Titan on Sunday, and he hopes it's a sign of things to come.
Key was credited with 11 quarterback pressures against the Saints (four more than any other player in Week 1), along with 1.5 sacks, four tackles and a tackle for a loss.
"I definitely felt like I was a little disruptive this game," Key said. "I felt like I left some out on the table after watching film, but it was good to build on. … There were some things I could have done better."
Key signed with the Titans back in March after playing previously with the 49ers and Jaguars.
Since Week 14 of 2022, Key has 36 quarterback pressures (third most in the NFL).
"I think it's me coming back off a good year at the end of last year, and I have to keep that same rhythm," Key said. "I am trying to start off hot now, knowing that in November and December is when you really have to step (up)."
-Titans safety Amani Hooker is in the team's concussion protocol.
Hooker had an interception and a forced fumble in Sunday's game.
Titans Coach Mike Vrabel on Wednesday named Elijah Molden, Matt Jackson and Mike Brown among the options opposite Kevin Byard at the safety position, along with Shyheim Carter, who is on practice squad.
-Receiver Treylon Burks was excused from practice on Wednesday for personal reasons.
-Receiver DeAndre Hopkins did not practice on Wednesday, and he was listed in the Injury Report with an ankle injury.
-Running back Tajae Spears (groin) was limited in practice.
-Defensive lineman Teair Tart (groin) was limited in practice.
-Cornerback Tre Avery (hamstring) returned to practice and was a full participant.
-Offensive lineman Dillon Radunz (knee) was a full participant on the Injury Report.
-Cornerback Kristian Fulton was on the practice field for the stretch period. Fulton was listed as a limited participant on the team's Injury Report with a hamstring injury.
I talked to Fulton before Wednesday's practice, and he said he's feeling good.

-The Chargers released their initial Injury Report on Wednesday, and it looked like this: OLB Joey Bosa (hamstring), running back Austin Ekeler (ankle/personal), linebacker Daiyan Henley (hamstring), LB Eric Kendricks (hamstring/personal) did not practice. OLB Chris Rumph II (hamstring) was limited.
