Quick Hits on the Titans From Wednesday of Buccaneers Week

QuickHits

NASHVILLE – The Titans returned to the practice field on Wednesday at Ascension Saint Thomas Sports Park to continue preparations for Sunday's game at the Tampa Bay Buccaneers.

Here's a look at today's developments:

-The biggest story of the week continues to be surrounding the quarterback position. On Tuesday, Coach Mike Vrabel officially named Will Levis the team's starter moving forward, in place of Ryan Tannehill, On Wednesday, Levis and Tannehill both spoke to reporters. I did a separate story on what they said: CLICK HERE to read it.

And, below are at clips of both Levis and Tannehill, and their work on the practice field.

-It hasn't been an easy start to the season for Titans receiver Kyle Philips.

Early on, Philips had to remain patient while recovering from a knee injury that forced him to miss the first four games of the season.

During the team's game in London, Philips dealt with more adversity, as he muffed a punt against the Ravens that led to a turnover.

Philips put his head down and kept working, an in Pittsburgh, he turned heads with an impressive performance.

Philips tied for the team lead with four catches for a team-best 68 yards against the Steelers. The yardage total established a new career high.

"It definitely felt good," Philips said. "I had a few catches, but at the end of the day, the only thing that matters is wins and losses. … But it was nice to get back involved and contribute more to helping this team."

Philips has put in extra work with Levis.

With receiver Treylon Burks not expected to play again, Philips could find himself more involved once again.

"I am feeling comfortable in the role they want, and the opportunities they are giving me," Philips said. "I am just doing what I can with those opportunities to make as many plays as I can."
