NASHVILLE – The Titans returned to the practice field on Thursday at Ascension Saint Thomas Sports Park to continue preparations for Sunday's game vs the Houston Texans.
Here's a look at today's developments:
-By now, every Titans has seen the fiery reaction of quarterback Will Levis in the closing minutes of Monday night's win over the Dolphins.
After rallying the Titans, the emotional Levis was greeted on the sideline by offensive coordinator Tim Kelly, and the two slapped hands and hugged – after a big scream from Levis.
On Thursday, Kelly couldn't keep from smiling when asked about that interaction.
"You love it," Kelly said. "He is a hell of a competitor, and it was really cool for me to be able to see him, to see our offense go down there and execute in a critical situation, against a good opponent, on the road, and on national television. I was really proud of the way he was able to operate and go function, and lead the offense down to put us in a position to win the game.
"… He has those crazy eyes, when he starts Hulk-ing out. But I was proud of him. It was a cool moment for him."
-Titans running back Derrick Henry met with reporters during his regularly scheduled media session on Thursday, and he was pretty entertaining on a number of subjects, including the possibility of Coach Mike Vrabel wearing a cowboy hat to the game on Sunday.
The Titans will be wearing Oilers throwbacks on Sunday, and Vrabel has hinted he could wear a cowboy hat like former Oilers coach Bum Phillips used to wear.
I dropped in several Twitter videos of Henry below:
Henry got serious when talking about wearing the Q collar, to help prevent head injuries.
-And, if you haven't seen the Tyjae Spears mic'd up video from Monday night, do yourself a favor and check it out below. Jack Mummert of the Titans broadcast/production team put it together, and the full version is over five minutes, and worth every second.
Check it out below:
