NASHVILLE – The Titans returned to the practice field on Friday at Ascension Saint Thomas Sports Park to continue preparations for Sunday's game vs the Houston Texans.
Here's a look at today's developments:
-Titans receiver DeAndre Hopkins played his first seven NFL seasons with the Houston Texans before being traded to the Arizona Cardinals.
On Sunday, he'll play against them for just the second time in his career.
To hear Hopkins tell it, however, there will be no extra emotions.
"It's just another game for me," said Hopkins, who played against Houston in 2021. "No significance than any other game. It's just another game, man. I'm a professional. I've been playing this game a long time."
Hopkins racked up 62 catches, 8,602 receiving yards and 54 touchdowns in seven seasons with the Texans.
"I love the city of Houston," Hopkins said. "I still live in Houston. My family still lives in Houston. I am grateful for everything the city and the organization did for me and my family.
"There's still a lot of love there, support. Some (fans) are still upset about me not being there, and I understand. But there's still a lot of love there."
Here's a look at all the injury updates from Friday:
-Defensive lineman Jeffery Simmons (knee) did not practice on Friday and he's been ruled OUT for Sunday's game.
-Tight end Josh Whyle (knee) did not practice on Friday and he's been ruled OUT for Sunday's game.
-Receiver Kyle Philips (hamstring) did not practice on Friday and he's been ruled OUT for Sunday's game.
-Defensive lineman Teair Tart (NIR-Personal) did not practice on Friday and he's been ruled OUT for Sunday's game.
-Defensive lineman Denico Autry (knee/illness) did not practiced on Friday and he's QUESTIONABLE.
-Linebacker Jack Gibbens (back) was limited in today's practice and he's QUESTIONABLE.
-Safety K'Von Wallace (quad) was limited in today's practice and he's QUESTIONABLE.
-Receiver Nick Westbrook-Ikhine (illness) did not practice today and he's QUESTIONABLE.
-All the other players listed on the team's Injury Report don't have designations and are good to go.
-The Texans ruled out defensive end Will Anderson (ankle), linebacker Blake Cashman (hamstring) and cornerback Tavierre Thomas (hamstring) for Sunday's game. Quarterback C.J. Stroud did not practice again on Friday and he's listed as doubtful with a concussion.
-The Titans are scheduled to hold a walkthrough on Saturday, ahead of Sunday's game vs the Texans.
