NASHVILLE – The Titans returned to the practice field on Friday at Ascension Saint Thomas Sports Park to continue preparations for Sunday's game vs the Carolina Panthers.
Here's a look at today's developments:
-The Titans will have a new starting left tackle on Sunday – rookie Jaelyn Duncan.
Coach Mike Vrabel announced the news after today's practice.
A sixth-round pick of the team in the 2023 NFL Draft, Duncan has played in four games for the Titans this season, coming off the bench to work at both tackle spots in relief.
"I am really excited – it's my first start as a rookie," Duncan said on Friday. "I just want to go out there, with no MAs (missed assignments), and go out there and play football."
Vrabel has been complimentary of Duncan and his progress over the past few months.
Duncan, who played in college at Maryland, said he's soaked up advice from coaches and teammates along the way.
"They just told me to come in here every day and prepare like a starter – make sure you take a lot of notes, and make sure you take care of your body," Duncan said. "I have just been getting ready, preparing like I've always been, like I'm a starter, and I am starting now. I am just going to go out there and play ball, try not to overthink things, not get in my head about anything, and just ball out."
