Quick Hits on the Titans From Friday of Jaguars Week

QuickHits

NASHVILLE – The Titans returned to the practice field on Friday at Ascension Saint Thomas Sports Park to continue preparations for Sunday's game vs the Jacksonville Jaguars.

Here's a look at today's developments:

-Veteran Ryan Tannehill will start at quarterback on Sunday for the Titans.

Coach Mike Vrabel made the announcement after today's practice.

"Ryan will start," Vrabel said, "and Will (Levis) will be the third quarterback."

Levis was back on the practice field on Friday during the stretch period, but his work throughout the week was limited.

Levis is listed on the Injury Report with a (right) foot injury. He'd previously been listed with the left ankle injury.

Tannehill stepped in for an injured Levis against the Texans. Malik Willis will be the No.2 quarterback on Sunday for the Titans.

Tannehill has played in nine games in 2023, with seven starts. Tannehill was replaced by Levis earlier this season.

"He's handled (things) with class," Vrabel said of Tannehill. "You can be disappointed, but also still be supportive and be about the team. A lot of emotions that go on with each individual player, their role on the football team and how that changes throughout the year. But I do appreciate Ryan's professionalism thoughout."

-Titans cornerback Caleb Farley, who returned to practice last month, practiced again on Friday but he won't play vs the Jaguars.

Farley, a first-round pick out of Virginia Tech in 2021, remains on the team's Reserve/Physically Unable to Perform (PUP) list.
