Quick Hits on the Titans From Friday of Bengals Week

QuickHits-(9)

NASHVILLE – The Titans returned to the practice field on Friday to continue preparations for Sunday's game against the Cincinnati Bengals.

Here's a look at the developments of the day, in quick-hitting fashion …

-Titans receiver Treylon Burks has been ruled OUT for Sunday's game vs the Bengals.

Titans Coach Mike Vrabel announced the news at the end of today's practice.

Burks played in the team's first three games after working his way back from a knee injury he suffered during practices in Minnesota last month, but he's appeared on the team's injury reports since.

"Not a reaggravation," Vrabel said of Burks. "Just not going to be able to be out there for a week or so. We'll see how that progresses. He wasn't able to do anything this week, and we'll see where he's at next week."

-Guard Peter Skoronski, who has missed the past two games after having an emergency appendectomy, has been ruled OUT for Sunday's game after missing practices all week.

-Defensive back Elijah Molden (hamstring) has been ruled OUT for Sunday's game after missing practices all week.

-Linebacker Luke Gifford (hamstring) has been ruled OUT for Sunday's game after missing practices all week.

-Defensive lineman Teair Tart (knee) practiced on Friday. He's listed as QUESTIONABLE for Sunday's game.

-Outside linebacker Harold Landry (hamstring) practiced in full on Friday and he's good to go.

Landry talked to reporters in the locker room after practice.

-Tight end Josh Whyle (illness) practiced in full on Friday and he's good to go.

-Running back Derrick Henry (toe/rest) practiced in full on Friday and he's good to go.

-Defensive lineman Denico Autry (groin) practiced on a limited basis on Friday and he's listed as QUESTIONABLE for Sunday's game.

-Receiver DeAndre Hopkins (ankle) practiced in full Friday and he's good to go.

Hopkins spoke to reporters in the locker room on Friday.

-The Titans got some good news on Friday: Tackle Nicholas Petit-Frere will be reinstated effective on Monday, as a result of the NFL's gambling policy changes.

Petit-Frere was initially scheduled to miss six games.

-Titans receiver Chris Moore is expected to get even more work with Burks sidelined.

Moore spoke to reporters in the locker room on Friday.

-Vrabel said he expects receiver Kyle Philips, who is on Injured Reserve, to return to practice next week.

-The Titans added receiver Shi Smith to the practice squad earlier this week.

Smith, who played in college at South Carolina, played with the Panthers in 2021-2022. In 23 career games, he has 28 receptions for 400 yards and two touchdowns, and he also has experience as a returner. Smith caught 22 passes for 296 yards and two touchdowns in 2022.

I chatted with Smith in the locker room on Friday.

-The Bengals released their second Injury Report on Friday, and it looked like this: WR Charlie Jones (thumb) and TE Irv Smith (hamstring) are OUT. QB Joe Burrow (calf) was listed as a full participant. LB Akeem Davis-Gaither (knee) did not practice on Friday and he's QUESTIONABLE.

-The Titans are scheduled to hold a walk-through on Saturday morning, ahead of Sunday's game at Nissan Stadium.
