Quick Hits After Wednesday's Titans Practice

220112-quick-hits

NASHVILLE – The Titans returned to the practice field on Wednesday, their sights now set on an opponent to be determined.

The Titans, the AFC's No.1 seed, don't play this weekend. But they'll find out this weekend who they'll face in the Divisional Round on January 22 or 23.

Some quick hits on the Titans after Wednesday's session:

-The Titans held a light practice, in sweats, and not even in uniform. Several veteran players got the day off on a day when the team focused on conditioning, and themselves.

-The Titans aren't required by the NFL to release an Injury Report since they don't play this weekend.

-Running back Derrick Henry, moved to the team's 'Designated for Return from Injured Reserve" list last week, was back at practice on Wednesday.

Last week's designation opened up a 21-day window for Henry to practice with the team, and he will not count against the team's 53-man roster until being activated from Injured Reserve. The Titans elected not to elevate Henry for the season finale, and Coach Mike Vrabel said on Monday he wants to see more on-field work from Henry.

Henry suffered a foot injury in the team's October 31 game vs the Colts, and he's missed the last eight games.

-Receiver Julio Jones was not spotted at Wednesday's session.

-Cornerback Elijah Molden, who left Sunday's game with an injury, was not spotted at Wednesday's practice.

-Cornerback Buster Skrine was not spotted at Wednesday's session.

-Defensive lineman Teair Tart (ankle), ruled out for this past Sunday's game, was not spotted at today's practice.

-Defensive lineman Naquan Jones (knee), also ruled out for this past Sunday's game, was back on the practice field.

-Receiver Chester Rogers was not spotted at Wednesday's session.

-Running back Jeremy McNichols, re-signed to the team's practice squad on Tuesday, was back on the practice field.

-Running back Jordan Wilkins is on the Reserve/COVID-19 list, and he did not practice on Wednesday.

-In addition to Titans HC Mike Vrabel, quarterback Ryan Tannehill, center Ben Jones, safety Kevin Byard, defensive lineman Denico Autry, tight end Anthony Firkser and running back Dontrell Hilliard all talked to reporters before Wednesday's practice.

-Vrabel said the Titans players will get Thursday, Friday and Saturday off before returning to practice on Sunday, when preparation will ramp up for the team's playoff contest.
