NASHVILLE – The Titans returned to the practice field on Wednesday to continue preparations for Sunday's game vs the Steelers at Heinz Field.
Here's a look at what happened on Wednesday:
-Linebacker Zach Cunningham, claimed off waivers last Thursday after being waived by the Texans, practiced for the first time with his new teammates.
Cunningham, decked out in No.33, sure looks the part. He's long and athletic, and on Wednesday he had on red gloves and cleats, which made him stand out even more.
-Linebacker David Long Jr. (hamstring) did not practice.
-Defensive lineman Teair Tart (ankle) did not practice.
-Cornerback Jackrabbit Jenkins (ankle) did not practice.
-Guard Rodger Saffold (shoulder) did not practice.
-Defensive lineman Larrell Murchison (knee) did not practice.
-Safety Dane Cruikshank (illness) did not practice.
-Fullback Tory Carter (ankle) did not practice.
-Outside linebacker Harold Landry (hamstring) was limited in practice.
-Outside linebacker Bud Dupree, moved to the team's "Designated for Return from Injured Reserve" list earlier in the day, practiced on Wednesday for the first time since suffering an abdominal injury back on November 14 against the Saints.
This designation opened up a 21-day window for Dupree to practice with the team, and he will not count against the team's 53-man roster until being activated from Injured Reserve.
Dupree will not appear on the injury report since he's not currently on the 53-man roster.
-There was a No.22 on the practice field, but it wasn't running back Derrick Henry.
Instead, it was practice squad running back Jordan Wilkins, who was wearing the No.22 to play the part of Steelers running back Najee Harris for the scout team.
-The Steelers released their initial Injury Report on Wednesday, and it looked like this: DE Montravius Adams (illness) and CB Joe Haden (foot) and QB Ben Roethlisberger pectoral/rt.shoulder) did not practice. LB Alex Highsmith (quad), TE Kevin Radar (hip) LB Robert Spillane (knee) and LB T.J Watt (groin) were limited. DE Isaiah Buggs (ankle) and DT Carlos Davis (knee) were full participants.
-In addition to Titans HC Mike Vrabel, safety Kevin Byard, running back D'Onta Foreman, left tackle Taylor Lewan, defensive lineman Jeffery Simmons, receiver Nick Westbrook-Ikhine, cornerback Kristian Fulton, linebacker Rashaan Evans and tight end Anthony Firkser all talked to reporters before Wednesday's practice.
-The Titans are scheduled to practice again on Thursday and Friday before traveling to Pittsburgh on Saturday for Sunday's game against the Steelers.
