NASHVILLE – The Titans returned to the practice field on Wednesday at Ascension Saint Thomas Sports Park to continue preparations for the season opener on Sunday vs the Chicago Bears.
Here's a look at today's developments:
-Titans receiver DeAndre Hopkins on Wednesday practiced for the first time since July 31.
Hopkins, who missed all three preseason contests with a knee injury, was listed as limited on the team's first Injury Report of the season.
Coach Brian Callahan offered this assessment of Hopkins when he spoke to reporters before practice:
"Looks like Hop," Callahan said. "He's been great. He's been really communicative about how he feels and where his body's at and making sure he's getting to work to be ready to play. So everything he's done has been exactly what we're looking for in terms of communication and process. So, that's been positive."
Quarterback Will Levis also talked about Hopkins returning after practice.
See the video below:
-Levis, by the way, put any talk about him switching from No.8 to No.7 – his uniform number at Kentucky – to rest during his media availability.
Levis said he loves No.8.
-Safety Jamal Adams was the only Titan who did not practice on Wednesday.
Adams is dealing with a hip injury.
-Linebacker Otis Reese was limited in practice as he recovers from a concussion.
-The Bears released their first Injury Report, and it looked like this: WR Keenan Allen (heel), OL Kiran Amegadjie (quad), OL Ryan Bates (shoulder), RB Roschon Johnson (toe), DL Zacch Pickens (groin) and DL Montez Sweat (toe) were all limited participants.
-The Titans opened their locker room for interviews for the first time this season.
Up until this point, interviews were done either on the practice field or at podiums.
