NASHVILLE – The Titans returned to the practice field on Wednesday at Saint Thomas Sports Park to begin preparations for Sunday's game vs the Saints at Nissan Stadium.
Some quick hits on the Titans after Wednesday's session:
-The Titans held a light practice on a beautiful day in Nashville, as Titans head coach Mike Vrabel gave his football team more time to recover. After some early conditioning, the Titans held a walk-through, without helmets. Things will get cranked up more on Thursday.
-Linebacker Rashaan Evans (ankle), who has missed the last two games, was back on the practice field on Wednesday. He was listed as a limited participant.
-Outside linebacker Bud Dupree (knee) did not practice on Wednesday.
-Outside linebacker Harold Landry (hamstring) did not practice on Wednesday.
-Guard Nate Davis (concussion), who missed Sunday's game vs the Rams, was also back on the practice field and listed as a full participant.
-Tackle Kendall Lamm (back), who has missed the last two games, practiced on Wednesday on a limited basis.
-Titans left tackle Taylor Lewan (knee), who dressed out but did not play on Sunday vs the Rams, was on the practice field on Wednesday. He was listed as a limited participant.
-Defensive lineman Jeffery Simmons (ankle) did not practice on Wednesday.
-Linebacker David Long Jr. (hamstring) did not practice on Wednesday.
-Safety Dane Cruikshank (knee) did not practice on Wednesday.
-Cornerback Greg Mabin, who missed Sunday's game against the Rams because of an ankle injury, did not practice on Wednesday.
-Fullback Tory Carter, who did not play against the Rams because of a hip injury, did not practice on Wednesday.
-Cornerback Kristian Fulton, moved to the team's "Designated for Return from Injured Reserve" on Wednesday, practiced with the team for the first time since October 8.
Outside linebacker Derick Roberson, moved to the team's "Designated for Return from Injured Reserve" list last month, continues to practice with the team.
This designation opened up a 21-day window for both players to practice, and they will not count against the team's 53-man roster until being activated from Injured Reserve.
-Cornerback Chris Jackson (foot) did not practice on Wednesday.
-Receiver A.J. Brown (knee) was limited in Wednesday's practice.
-Linebacker Nick Dzubnar (knee) was limited in Wednesday's practice.
-Defensive lineman Teair Tart (groin) was limited in practice on Wednesday.
-Running back D'Onta Foreman has switched from uniform No. 45 to No.7.
-Quarterback Kevin Hogan, signed to the team's practice squad earlier in the day, practiced with the team for the first time. Hogan has been assigned No. 18.
-Former Tennessee State receiver Chris Rowland, practiced with the team for the first time. Rowland has been assigned No.83, but he was wearing No.1 on Wednesday.
-The Titans on Wednesday signed defensive back Chris Jones to the team's active roster.
Jones, who has been on the practice squad since the beginning of the season, has played in two games this season. Jones played 28 snaps on defense against the Rams, and he was credited with a tackle. The Titans signed Jones as a free agent during the 2021 offseason. The Nebraska product has also spent time with the Lions (2018 and 2020), Cardinals (2018-2020) and Vikings (2020) prior to arriving in Tennessee, totaling 22 games played and six starts. At Nebraska, he totaled five interceptions in 45 career games.
-The Saints released their initial Injury Report on Wednesday, and it looked like this: S C.J. Gardner-Johnson (foot), DE Payton Turner (shoulder), RB Alvin Kamara (knee) and tackle Terron Armstead (knee/shoulder) did not practice. WR Ty Montgomery (hamstring), DE Carl Granderson (shoulder) and T Ryan Ramczyk (NIR-Rest) were limited participants.
-The Lions on Wednesday claimed former Titans receiver Josh Reynolds off waivers. The Titans released Reynolds on Tuesday.
-The Titans are scheduled to practice again on Thursday and Friday before holding a walkthrough on Saturday before Sundays' game vs the Saints.
-In addition to Titans HC Mike Vrabel, quarterback Ryan Tannehill, safety Kevin Byard, outside linebacker Bud Dupree, center Ben Jones, safety Amani Hooker, linebacker Jayon Brown and running back D'Onta Foreman all spoke to reporters before practice on Wednesday.
