Quick Hits After Wednesday's Titans Practice

201125-humphries

NASHVILLE – The Titans returned to the practice field on Wednesday to ramp up preparations for Sunday's game against the Indianapolis Colts.

Some quick hits on the latest developments …

-With rain and storms in the Nashville area, the Titans moved today's practice indoors, so it was closed to reporters. So sorry, no videos.

-Receiver Adam Humphries, who suffered a concussion against the Bengals and has missed the team's last three games against the Bears, Colts, and Ravens, was a full participant in Wednesday's session. Titans Coach Mike Vrabel said earlier today Humphries is still working through the concussion protocol and will have to meet with an independent doctor "as we work our way to towards the end of the week."

-Punter Brett Kern, added to the 'Designated for Return' list on Tuesday, practiced with the team on Wednesday for the first time since suffering a wrist injury at Cincinnati. Kern has missed the team's last three games. This designation opened up a 21-day window for Kern to practice with the team, and he will not count against the team's 53-man roster until being activated from Injured Reserve. The Titans plan to evaluate Kern at the end of the week before making a decision on his status for Sunday's game.

-Cornerback Adoree' Jackson, who was activated from Injured Reserve earlier this month after spending three weeks on the team's 'Designated for Return' list, did not practice on Wednesday.

-Guard Rodger Saffold (ankle), who missed Sunday's game at Baltimore, was limited in practice on Wednesday.

-Receiver A.J. Brown (knee) did not practice on Wednesday.

-Center Ben Jones (knee) was limited in practice on Wednesday

-Tight end MyCole Pruitt (knee), who has missed the past two games, was a full participant in Wednesday's practice.

-Defensive lineman Larrell Murchison (ankle), who did not play vs the Ravens, was a full participant on Wednesday.

-Tackle Dennis Kelly (knee) did not practice on Wednesday.

-Cornerback Malcolm Butler (rib), was limited in Wednesday's practice.

-Safety Kenny Vaccaro (concussion), was a full participant on Wednesday. Vrabel said the plan is for Vaccaro to meet with an independent doctor at the end of the week as he works his way through concussion protocol as well.

-Running back Darrynton Evans, added to the 'Designated for Return list last week, is in his second week working his way back to action. This designation opened up a 21-day window for Evans to practice with the team, and he will not count against the team's 53-man roster until being activated from Injured Reserve.

-Quarterback DeShone Kizer, signed to the team's practice squad on Tuesday, practiced with the team for the first time.

-The Colts released their first Injury Report on Wednesday and it looked like this: S Julian Blackmon (illness), DE Justin Houston (not injury related), C Ryan Kelly (neck), G Quenton Nelson (back/ankle), LB Bobby Okereke (ankle), WR Zach Pascal (knee/foot), QB Philip Rivers (toe), S Khari Willis (ribs/shoulders), CB Rock Ya-Sin (illness) did not practice on Wednesday. CB Isaiah Rodgers (knee), T Braden Smith (thumb), TE Noah Togiaa (knee) and LB Anthony Walker (ribs) are all listed on the Injury Report, but all were full participants in Wednesday's session.

-The Colts placed defensive tackle DeForest Buckner on the Reserve/COVID-19 List on Wednesday.

-The Titans are scheduled to practice again on Friday before traveling to Indianapolis on Saturday for Sunday's game vs the Colts. Vrabel gave the players Thanksgiving Day off – the team added a walkthrough on Tuesday with the adjusted scheduled.
