NASHVILLE – The Titans returned to the practice field on Friday at Saint Thomas Sports Park to put the finishing touches on preparations for Sunday's game vs the Rams at SoFi Stadium in Los Angeles.

Some quick hits on the Titans after Friday's session:

-Running back Adrian Peterson practiced for the third straight day, and he spoke to reporters for the first time since arriving in town earlier this week.

The Titans officially promoted Peterson from the practice squad to the active roster on Friday afternoon, and Peterson said he's ready to go.

"My whole mindset is to let them know: Hey, I am coming in here, I am serious, and I want to do whatever I can to do to contribute and help this team continue to be successful," Peterson said. "I am excited to be here."

-Receiver Julio Jones (hamstring) practiced for the third straight day on Friday, and he's ready to return to action once against after missing Sunday's game vs the Colts.

Jones was listed as a limited participant on Friday, the same as Wednesday and Thursday, on the Injury Report.

-Receiver A.J. Brown did not practice (knee) on Friday, and he's listed as questionable on the Injury Report for Sunday's game. Brown said he's excited about the addition of Peterson. He also said the Titans are plenty motivated to prove doubters wrong after the loss of running back Derrick Henry.

-Linebacker Rashaan Evans (ankle) did not practice again on Friday and he's been ruled OUT for Sunday's game vs the Rams.

-Guard Nate Davis (concussion) did not practice again on Friday and he's been ruled OUT for Sunday's game vs the Rams.

-Defensive back Chris Jackson (foot) returned to practice on Friday and he's good to go. Jackson was limited on Friday.

-Fullback Tory Carter (shoulder) did not practice on Friday and he's questionable for Sunday's game.

-Linebacker Jayon Brown and outside linebacker Derick Roberson, moved to the team's "Designated for Return from Injured Reserve" list last month, continue to practice with the team.

This designation opened up a 21-day window for both players to practice, and they will not count against the team's 53-man roster until being activated from Injured Reserve.

Vrabel said Brown has made progress, and said he anticipates him returning to action soon.

-Titans Senior Defensive Assistant coach Jim Schwartz, who missed last week's game at Indianapolis, because of NFL's Covid-19 Protocols, was back at practice on Friday.
