Quick Hits After Friday's Titans Practice

220107-quick-hits

NASHVILLE – The Titans returned to the practice field on Friday to put the finishing touches on preparations for Sunday's game vs the Houston Texans at NRG Stadium.

Some quick hits on the Titans after Friday's session:

-After a half-foot of snow in Nashville on Thursday, the Titans practiced inside the team's indoor practice facility at Saint Thomas Sports Park for the second day in a row. The session was closed to media, and all interviews were done via Zoom.

-Running back Derrick Henry, moved to the team's 'Designated for Return from Injured Reserve" list earlier in the week, practiced throughout the week.

This designation opened up a 21-day window for Henry to practice with the team, and he will not count against the team's 53-man roster until being activated from Injured Reserve.

The Titans have until Saturday to decide whether to activate Henry for Sunday's game in Houston.

Henry suffered a foot injury in the team's October 31 game vs the Colts, and he's missed the last eight games.

Titans coach Mike Vrabel said he was encouraged by Henry's work during the week.

"We have some time to make that decision, and we'll evaluate where we are at," Vrabel said. "I think that (Derrick) looked good. We continue to track his speed and mileage and volume and see how he responds. Two days on the turf, we'll see where he is at tomorrow and see how he responds.

"But I feel good about where he is at."

Henry does not appear on the Injury Report because he is not on the team's active roster.

-Titans defensive lineman Teair Tart (ankle) has been ruled OUT for Sunday's game.

-Titans defensive lineman Naquan Jones (knee) has been ruled out for Sunday's game.

-Receiver Julio Jones, who was removed from the team's Reserve/COVID-19 list earlier in the week, practiced this week and is good to go. Jones (hamstring) was limited in Wednesday's session but he was listed as a full participant again on Friday and he said on a zoom call today he's ready to help the team.

-Cornerback Jackrabbit Jenkins (ankle) practiced in full on Friday and he's good to go.

-Center Ben Jones (knee) was a full participant on Friday and he's good to go.

-Tackle Kendall Lamm (illness) was a limited in Friday's practice but he has no status designation, so he'll be available for Sunday's game.

-Guard Rodger Saffold (shoulder) was a full participant on Friday and he's good to go.

-Defensive lineman Larrell Murchison, who has missed the past three games with a knee injury, was a full participant on Friday and he's good to go

-Outside linebacker Derick Roberson, who did not play last Sunday against Miami, also practiced in full again on Friday and he's good to go.

-Titans right tackle David Quessenberry was a full participant on Friday after missing Thursday and he's good to go

-Titans defensive lineman Denico Autry was added to the Injury Report with a knee injury on Thursday, was a full participant on Friday and he's good to go

-Practice squad tackle Paul Adams is on the Reserve/COVID-19 list and he did not practice during the week.

-The Texans released their final Injury Report on Friday, and it looked like this: QB Deshaun Watson (NIR) is OUT. WR Chris Conley (knee), TE Jordan Akers (illness) and WR Chris Moore (illness) are QUESTIONABLE.

-In addition to Titans HC Mike Vrabel, receiver A.J. Brown, receiver Julio Jones, linebacker Harold Landry and tight end Geoff Swaim all talked to reporters after Friday's practice via zoom.

-The Titans are scheduled to travel to Houston on Saturday for Sunday's game in Houston. Kickoff is set for noon at NRG Stadium in Houston.
