211112-quick-hits

NASHVILLE – The Titans returned to the practice field on Friday at Saint Thomas Sports Park to put the finishing touches on preparations for Sunday's game vs the Saints at Nissan Stadium.

Some quick hits on the Titans after Friday's session:

-On a beautiful day in Nashville, the Titans practiced outside after spending Thursday's session inside the team's indoor practice facility because of the rain.

-Quarterback Ryan Tannehill did not practice on Friday, which set off quite a stir when news of his absence first hit social media. Titans Coach Mike Vrabel said after the session the team planned to list Tannehill on the Injury Report with an 'illness," without a designation, which means he's expected to play.

-Receiver Julio Jones, who did not appear on the Injury Report at the start of the week, did not practice on Friday after being limited on Thursday, when he was added to the Injury Report with a hamstring injury. Jones is listed as QUESTIONABLE on the team's Injury Report.

-Linebacker David Long Jr. (hamstring) did not practice again on Friday and he's been ruled OUT for Sunday's game.

-Safety Dane Cruikshank (knee) did not practice again on Friday and he's been ruled OUT for Sunday's game.

-Cornerback Greg Mabin did not practice again on Friday and he's been ruled OUT for Sunday's game.

-Cornerback Kristian Fulton, moved to the team's "Designated for Return from Injured Reserve" on Wednesday, practiced with the team for the third straight day on Friday.

This designation opened up a 21-day window for Fulton to practice without counting against the team's 53-man roster until being activated from Injured Reserve.

Vrabel said Fulton had a good week of practice, and the team plans to make a decision on his status for Sunday in the next 24 hours.

"It has been good to see him back," Vrabel said of Fulton after practice. "That was a player that had improved, that had gone in and gotten better each and every week and was really starting to play well and build confidence. Then suffered an injury, required a few weeks. This was his return to play, and we will see kind of how he responded to the last couple days of practice and then try to make a decision on him before the game."

-Titans running back Adrian Peterson spoke to reporters on Friday. Peterson told a funny story about his 10-year-old son's evaluation of his debut in Tennessee while discussing what he's focusing on heading into Sunday's game vs the Saints.

-Linebacker Rashaan Evans (ankle), who has missed the last two games, did not practice again on Friday. He's listed as QUESTIONABLE on the team's Injury Report.

-Outside linebacker Bud Dupree (knee) returned to practice on Friday and he's good to go.

-Outside linebacker Harold Landry (hamstring) returned to practice on Friday and he's good to go.

-Guard Nate Davis (concussion), who missed Sunday's game vs the Rams, practiced for the third straight day on Friday and he's good to go.

-Tackle Kendall Lamm (back), who has missed the last two games, practiced again on Friday and he's good to go.

-Titans left tackle Taylor Lewan (knee), who dressed out but did not play on Sunday vs the Rams, practiced again on Friday and he's good to go.

-Defensive lineman Jeffery Simmons (ankle) returned to practice on Friday and he's good to go.

-Fullback Tory Carter, who did not play against the Rams because of a hip injury, returned to practice on Friday and he's good to go.

-Cornerback Chris Jackson (foot) practiced again on Friday and he's good to go.

-Receiver A.J. Brown (knee) did not practice on Friday after being a full participant on Thursday but he's good to go.

-Linebacker Nick Dzubnar (knee) practiced again on Friday and he's good to go.

-Defensive lineman Teair Tart (groin) did not practice again on Friday after missing on Thursday as well and he's listed as QUESTIONABLE on the team's Injury Report.

-Outside linebacker Derick Roberson, moved to the team's "Designated for Return from Injured Reserve" list last month, continues to practice with the team as well.

-The Saints released their final Injury Report on Friday, and it looked like this: RB Alvin Kamara (knee), S C.J. Gardner-Johnson (foot) and tackle Terron Armstead (knee/shoulder) all did not practice on Friday and they've been ruled OUT for Sunday's game vs the Titans. WR Ty Montgomery (hamstring) and DE Carl Granderson (shoulder) were limited in practice, and they're listed as QUESTIONABLE for Sunday's game.

-The Titans are scheduled to hold a walkthrough on Saturday before Sunday's game vs the Saints.

-In addition to Titans HC Mike Vrabel, running back Adrian Peterson, receiver A.J. Brown, and receiver Nick Westbrook-Ikhine all talked to reporters after practice on Friday.
