211001-quick

NASHVILLE – The Titans returned to the practice field on Friday at Saint Thomas Sports Park to wrap up preparations for Sunday's game at the New York Jets.

Some quick hits after Friday's practice:

-Titans receivers Julio Jones and A.J. Brown didn't practice again on Friday, and Coach Mike Vrabel ruled OUT both players for Sunday's game.

Jones, who didn't play down the stretch in Sunday's win against the Colts, is listed on the Injury Report with a hamstring injury.

Brown, who appeared on last week's Injury Report with a knee injury, is also listed on this week's Injury Report with a hamstring injury.

-Outside linebacker Bud Dupree, held out of Sunday's game vs the Colts because of his knee, did not practice again on Friday and he's been ruled OUT for Sunday's game.

"Bud will be out, so I think that pretty much tells you," Vrabel said when asked if Dupree has had any setbacks. "He won't be available for the game. Like a lot of injuries, there's things you work through. … All I know is Bud comes into work every morning with a great attitude to learn, and to try and get himself ready to play."

-Cornerback Caleb Farley, who has missed the last two games with a shoulder injury, did not practice again on Friday and he has been ruled OUT for Sunday's game.

-Defensive lineman Larrell Murchison did not practice again on Friday, and he has been ruled OUT for Sunday's game. Murchison appears on the Injury Report with an elbow injury.

-Punter Brett Kern did not practice again on Friday and he's been ruled OUT for Sunday's game. Kern appears on the Injury Report with a right groin injury.

-Punter Johnny Townsend, signed by the team after a workout earlier on Thursday, will punt for the team on Sunday against the Jets. Vrabel indicated Townsend will also serve as the holder on kicks, "and I'm very comfortable Johnny will do the job that we need him to do on Sunday," Vrabel said.

-Vrabel said receiver Josh Reynolds, inactive for two of the team's first three games, is ready to help.

Reynolds signed with the Titans earlier this offseason after playing his first four NFL seasons with the Rams. Reynolds caught 113 passes for 1,450 yards and nine touchdowns during his time with the Rams.

-Tight end Anthony Firkser, who has missed the last two games with a knee injury, practiced again on Friday. Vrabel said Firkser "is in line to play."

-Left tackle Taylor Lewan who returned to practice on Thursday after missing on Wednesday, practiced again on Friday. Lewan was listed on the Injury Report earlier in the week with a toe injury, but he's good to go

-Guard Rodger Saffold, who missed practice time last week with a shoulder injury but played in Sunday's game, practiced again on Friday. Saffold was a limited participant in practices this week, but he's expected to play.

-Defensive lineman Teair Tart, who appears on the Injury Report with a shoulder injury, practiced again on Friday on a limited basis, but he's expected to play.

-Linebacker Jayon Brown, who appears on the Injury Report with a hamstring injury, practiced in full on Friday for the third straight day and he's good to go.

-Receiver Marcus Johnson and defensive Brady Breeze, moved to the team's "Designated for Return from Injured Reserve" list earlier in the day, practiced with the team for the third straight day.

This designation opens up a 21-day window for both players to practice with the team, and they will not count against the team's 53-man roster until being activated from Injured Reserve.

Vrabel said a decision on Johnson and/or Brady will need to be made by Saturday.

"He looks like he's healthy and getting some work in," Vrabel said of Johnson. "We'll make a decision on his availability before tomorrow."

-Cornerback Kristian Fulton, who left Sunday's game with an ankle injury but later returned, said on Wednesday he'll be ready to play on Sunday vs the Jets. Fulton practiced in full again on Friday after being a limited participant earlier in the week and he's good to go.

-RB Derrick Henry, given the day off on Thursday, was back at work on Friday.

-RB Jeremy McNichols was added to the Injury Report on Friday with a hamstring injury. He was listed as limited in today's session.

-The Jets released their final Injury Report on Friday and it looked like this: WR Elijah Moore (concussion), WR Jeff Smith (concussion), and safety Marcus Maye (ankle) did not practice for the third straight day and all three are OUT for Sunday's game. WR Jamison Crowder (groin) and TE Tyler Croft (rib) were full participants on Friday after being limited earlier in the week, and they're listed as questionable on the team's Injury Report. LB La'Mical Perine was added to the Injury Report on Thursday with an illness, but he was a full participant on Friday. He's listed as questionable on the team's Injury Report.

-The Titans are scheduled to hold a walk-through in Nashville on Saturday morning before traveling to face the Jets on Sunday.

-In addition to Vrabel, linebacker David Long Jr., tight end Geoff Swaim, receiver Cameron Batson and outside linebacker Harold Landry all talked to reporters after practice on Friday.
