211008-quick-hits

NASHVILLE – The Titans returned to the practice field on Friday at Saint Thomas Sports Park to wrap up preparations for Sunday's game at the Jacksonville Jaguars.

Some quick hits after Friday's practice:

-Receiver A.J. Brown, who missed last Sunday's game against the Jets because of a hamstring injury, practiced for the third straight day on Friday.

After the session, Titans head coach Mike Vrabel said he expects Brown to play against the Jaguars. Brown was listed as a full participant in the Injury Report for the second day in a row after being limited on Wednesday.

"I do (expect him to play)," Vrabel said of Brown. "I think he's worked hard, and he has progressed. Based off the body of work that we saw today, I am excited about that."

-Receiver Julio Jones (hamstring) didn't practice once again on Friday and he's been ruled OUT for Sunday's game. Jones also missed the Jets game.

-Punter Brett Kern, who also didn't play vs the Jets because of a right groin injury, did not practice again Friday and he's also been ruled OUT for Sunday's game.

Punter Johnny Townsend will handle punting duties once again vs the Jaguars.

-The Titans on Friday moved linebacker Jayon Brown, receiver Racey McMath, lineman Aaron Brewer and tight end Tommy Hudson to Injured Reserve.

-The Titans on Friday signed offensive lineman Corey Levin, defensive lineman Amani Bledsoe and linebacker Joe Jones to the active roster, promoting them from the practice squad.

-Edge rusher Bud Dupree, who has missed the last two games with a knee injury, was a full participant on Thursday and Friday, and he is listed as questionable for Sunday's game.

"We had him at practice this week," Vrabel said on Dupree, "and we'll see where his availability is tomorrow."

-Cornerback Caleb Farley, who has missed the last three games with a shoulder injury, practiced for the third straight day on Friday. He was a full participant all three days.

Vrabel said Farley "stayed on top of it" during his time off the field, which should help him upon his return.

-Left tackle Taylor Lewan, listed with a "toe" in the Injury Report, practiced on Friday. Lewan is listed as questionable for Sunday's game.

-Guard Rodger Saffold, who left Sunday's game because of concussion symptoms, practiced in full on Friday and said he plans to play vs the Jaguars. Vrabel said on Friday that Saffold cleared the team's concussion protocol.

-Linebacker Rashaan Evans (quad) practiced again on Friday and is good to go.

-Running back Darrynon Evans, moved to the team's "Designated for Return from Injured Reserve" list earlier in the day, practiced with the team again on Friday.

Receiver Marcus Johnson and defensive Brady Breeze, moved to the team's "Designated for Return from Injured Reserve" list last week, also practiced again on Friday.

This designation opened up a 21-day window for all three players to practice with the team, and they will not count against the team's 53-man roster until being activated from Injured Reserve.

Vrabel said the Titans would make a decision on Saturday whether to activate any of the players.

"(Marcus) is getting closer, and can't say enough about Marcus and what he did in training camp to really earn the trust of us, and most importantly, the quarterback," Vrabel said on Friday. "We'll see where he's at tomorrow, and have to make a decision."

-Center Ben Jones (shoulder) was limited in practice on Friday, but he's good to go.

-Receiver Nick Westbook-Ikhine (hamstring) practiced again on Friday and he's listed as questionable on the team's Injury Report.

-Defensive lineman Jeffery Simmons (back) practiced again on Friday and he's good to go.

-Defensive lineman Denico Autry (hip) returned to practice on Friday and he's listed as questionable on the team's Injury Report. Autry was a full participant in Friday's session.

-Fullback Khari Blasingame (ankle) practiced again on Friday and he's good to go.

-Outside linebacker Sharif Finch (concussion) practiced again on Friday and he's good to go.

-Defensive back Chris Jackson (shoulder) practiced again on Friday and he's good to go.

-Running back Jeremy McNichols (hamstring) practiced again on Friday and he's good to go.

-Defensive lineman Teair Tart (shoulder) practiced again on Friday and he's good to go.

-Running back Derrick Henry, who was given the day off on Thursday, practiced on Friday and he's good to go.

-Tackle Ty Sambrailo, added to the Injury Report on Thursday with a foot, was limited in Friday's session and he's listed as questionable on the team's Injury Report.

-The Jaguars released their final Injury Report on Thursday, and looked like this: DL Roy Robertson-Harris (ankle) is OUT. OLB Lerente McCray (hamstring) and CB Tyson Campbell (toe) are QUESTIONABLE after being limited on Friday. RB Carlos Hyde (shoulder) was a full participant all week and is good to go.

-The Titans are scheduled to hold a walkthrough on Saturday before traveling to Jacksonville on Saturday for Sunday's game.
