NASHVILLE – The Titans returned to the practice field on Thursday at Ascension Saint Thomas Sports Park to continue preparations for Sunday's game vs the Minnesota Vikings.
Here's a look at today's developments:
-Titans quarterback Will Levis had time to heal, and learn.
This past Sunday, Levis posted the best completion percentage of his career (78.3) against the Chargers, with a 127.4 rating and a career-high 41 rushing yards.
It was also his third career game with two touchdown passes and zero interceptions.
And while Levis knows the performance wasn't perfect – he was sacked seven times in the contest – it was at least a step in the right direction after missing three games with a right shoulder injury.
"Some throws I haven't been able to make this year or had the opportunity to, so it was good to connect on those," Levis said of the outing. "Some tight window throws that felt like I could get off, which it was good to feel that and be confident in those throws. And running the ball was encouraging too, getting that kind of part of my game out there. So, a lot of good things to take from it. Just not enough."
Levis said he felt good physically after the game, and he'll aim to build on last Sunday's performance this weekend against the Vikings.
The time off, in some ways, helped him.
"I feel good," Levis said. "Able to reset physically and mentally. It was good for me, I felt like, and I didn't feel like I ever lost my confidence, but definitely built it throughout those weeks. I was able to take time to improve on certain things in my game off the field and then also obviously get healthy. So coming back on the field, not limited in how I was throwing the ball, that got me a lot of confidence back. When I was able to get that ability to throw the ball back, I feel like I got my swagger back a little bit and felt better out there."
