NASHVILLE – The Titans returned to the practice field on Thursday at Ascension Saint Thomas Sports Park to continue preparations for Sunday's game vs the Green Bay Packers.
Here's a look at today's developments:
-Titans receiver DeAndre Hopkins has played limited snaps so far this season – 17 snaps vs the Bears, and 29 snaps vs the Jets.
His opportunities have been few and far between, as his targets have been limited as he's worked his way back from a knee injury suffered in training camp.
Hopkins feels like he's now healthy, and he's ready to do whatever he can do for the team.
"I love football, so if I am out there for one play, 10 plays, I am grateful to be on the field to do what I love," Hopkins said on Thursday. "Obviously, I had an injury a while ago. I feel good, and hopefully I can go out there and put it all together."
In two games, Hopkins has two catches for 17 yards.
Earlier this week, Coach Brian Callahan said the plan is to make Hopkins the primary receiver on more plays, which should lead to more targets.
"When my number is called, hopefully I can make a play," Hopkins said. "It's football. We have great players in this locker room, great players in this offense. So, I am not complaining, I am not worried about that. It's two games. Whenever my number is called, whatever I can do."
-Titans right tackle Nicholas Petit-Frere was critical of himself when assessing his play from this past Sunday.
"It's about being tough, and fighting," Petit-Frere said. "And I feel like I was a step slow (vs the Jets). It's about coming out with a better attitude, better toughness, better aggression and telling people: This is a fight."
Here's more from Pett-Frere in the locker room today:
-The Titans released their second injury report of the week.
-Running back Tyjae Spears (ankle) was limited in practice on Thursday after not practicing on Wednesday.
-Defensive tackle Jeffery Simmons returned to practice on Thursday after not practicing on Wednesday with a rest day.
-Cornerback L'Jarius Sneed returned to practice on Thursday after not practicing on Wednesday with a rest day.
