NASHVILLE – The Titans returned to the practice field on Thursday at Ascension Saint Thomas Sports Park to continue preparations for Sunday's game at the Detroit Lions.
Here's a look at today's developments:
-Titans quarterback Will Levis is working his way back to good health.
He wants to play, but Levis, coaches and trainers want him to wait until his body allows it.
"I am waiting to feel good, to make sure that I'm in the right spot to go out there and play the game the way that I know I can," Levis said. "All that is right now is taking it one day at a time."
Levis suffered a right shoulder injury in the team's Week 4 game at Miami.
Levis played the following week against the Colts before sitting out this past Sunday's game against the Bills.
Coach Brian Callahan indicated the team wants to see improvement from Levis physically. Levis is doing his best to work through the pain.
He was listed as limited on the team's Injury Report on Thursday.
"Pain and range of motion (have improved)," Levis said. "I just felt really restricted (before) with … how high I was able to get my arm up. Just feeling it out earlier this week, and today, I'm getting a lot better in those areas.
"It's tough. I think any teammate that's ever played with me knows that I'm the type of guy who pushes through and tries to play through everything. But at the end of the day you have to also be smart and take care of essentially what is my career and just make sure I am good next time I go out there and play."
-Mason Rudolph is in line to start for the Titans again on Sunday.
Rudolph started his first game with the team against the Bills.
"It's been a great week," Rudolph said of the practice week. "It's just nice to get back in the flow, get the walk-through reps in the morning, the practice reps in the afternoon, meetings at night.
"Getting the reps during the week is ideal."
-The Titans traded for linebacker Jerome Baker, and he has been assigned No. 17.
Baker didn't practice on Thursday, but he did some work on a side field, and he was in the locker room.
