It's Jaguars Week: Quick Hits on the Titans After Thursday's Practice

12-05-24-quick-hits

NASHVILLE – The Titans returned to the practice field on Thursday at Ascension Saint Thomas Sports Park to continue preparations for Sunday's game vs the Jacksonville Jaguars.

Here's a look at today's developments:

Titans quarterback Will Levis has made strides since coming back from his right shoulder injury.

In the team's past four games, Levis has thrown for 211 yards per game with eight touchdowns, three interceptions and a 94.1 rating. That's compared to a 151.0 average, four passing TDs and six interceptions, with a 72.8 rating in his first five starts.

So, what does Levis think has been the biggest differences in the version of him from the last four weeks versus earlier in the season?

"Just not trying to do too much. Just being a little smarter with the football," Levis said. "Other than that, I don't think much has changed. I just feel like I've been fortunate to show some more consistency on tape."

The Titans return to action on Sunday against the Jaguars.

The team has five games left in the 2024 season.

Levis hopes to keep making improvement as a quarterback, and as a team.

"If we can kind of keep building on what we had the couple of weeks prior to (last Sunday) and then that feel and that cleanliness on offense at least … we're going to be okay," Levis said. "And we know that this is a big opportunity for us to develop as a team and to create—and to continue developing our identity. And so we're going to make sure that we do our best throughout these next few weeks to do that."

-The Titans placed tackle Jaelyn Duncan on the team's 'Designated for Return' list on Wednesday, when he practiced for the first time since suffering a hamstring injury in the team's October 20 game against the Bills.

The return to practice designation opened up a three-week window for Duncan to practice with the team, and he will not count against the team's 53-man roster until being activated from Injured Reserve.

Duncan practiced again on Thursday, this time in full.

-Titans cornerback Chidobe Awuzie practiced in full again on Thursday as well. Awuzie was placed on the team's 'Designated for Return' list last week. Awuzie was placed on Injured Reserve on September 27 with a groin injury.

-The Jaguars released their second injury report of the week on Thursday, and it looked like this: CB Tyson Campbell (thigh) was limited, P Logan Cooke (left knee) and LS Ross Matiscik (hamstring) did not practice. LB Yasir Abdullah (hamstring), OL Brandon Scherff (knee/shoulder) and WR Parker Washington were limited in today's practice as well.
