It's Chargers Week: Quick Hits After Wednesday's Titans Practice

11-06-24-quick-hits2

NASHVILLE – The Titans returned to the practice field on Wednesday at Ascension Saint Thomas Sports Park to continue preparations for Sunday's game at the Los Angeles Chargers.

Here's a look at today's developments:

-Titans coach Brian Callahan said earlier on Wednesday the team planned to increase the reps for quarterback Will Levis this week.

Levis, who has missed the past three games with a right shoulder injury, is aiming to return to the starting lineup on Sunday against the Chargers.

Levis was listed as a limited participant in Wednesday's session as the team kicked off the practice week.

"Will, his reps should uptick," Callahan said. "We're trying to get him back rolling and hopeful that's sooner than later here. And he'll probably take a little bit more to keep sharp. But I think Mason (Rudolph) still needs to be ready to play and he'll still take some reps but I'd like to increase Will's workload this week certainly."

-The Titans held a walkthrough practice on Wednesday.

Here's a look at all the injury updates:

-Defensive lineman Jeffery Simmons (NIR-Rest) did not practice, but he spoke to reporters in the locker room after the session.

-Cornerback L'Jarius Sneed (quad) did not practice on Wednesday.

-Receiver Tyler Boyd (shoulder) was limited in practice.

-The Titans signed veteran safety Mike Edwards on Wednesday.

I did a separate story on Edwards earlier today, and the link is below:

Edwards was listed as a limited participant in Wednesday's session.

Here's a clip of Edwards in the locker room:

-Safety Amani Hooker (groin) was limited in practice.

-Running back Tony Pollard (foot) was limited in practice.

-Guard Dillon Radunz (toe) was limited in practice.

-Receiver Calvin Ridley (NIR/rest) was limited in practice.

-Running back Tyjae Spears (hamstring) was limited in practice.

-Cornerback Tre Avery (hamstring) was a full participant in practice.

-The Chargers released their first injury report of the week on Wednesday. It looked like this: OLB Joey Bosa (hip), RB Gus Edwards (ankle), T Trey Pipkins III (ankle) and TE Stone Smartt (ankle) were limited. CB Kristian Fulton (hamstring), OLB Khalil Mack (groin), LB Denzel Perryman (toe) and DB Ja'sir Taylor (fibula) did not practice.

Next practice: Thursday, 12:30-2 p.m.
