NASHVILLE – Welcome to Memorial Day weekend.
The Titans have the next few days off before returning to practice next week for another round of OTAs.
Before I sneak away, let's jump into another Titans mailbag.

Pamela Wheeler from Murfreesboro, Tennessee
Question: Do the Titans plan to do training camp tickets this year the same as the past few years? We've been unlucky trying to get tickets on a date that works for us the past few years. Is there any thought to doing the stadium practice again like years past? I hate that we can't ever get to meet the new players as I feel less connected to the teams of the past with guys like Jurrell Casey, Taylor Lewan, Wesley Woodyard, and others that would routinely sign autographs and meet and greet fans. Thank you, Mr. Wyatt! Go Titans!!
Jim: Hi Pamela. I do know it's a big priority for the team to provide even more access to the fans, and folks are working on some changes for training camp this year. I've heard talk about a potential Nissan Stadium practice, so I know it's being discussed. It's also my understanding the team will have a number of open practices again at Ascension Saint Thomas Sports Park, but as far as tickets go, it's TBD. A lot of these things end up getting sorted out closer to late June or early July. Keep an eye out for updates, dates, etc.
Bill Mahanna from Byrdstown, Tennessee
Question: I may have missed it but what ever happened to Ryan Tannehill? I thought I saw where the Titans released him, but I haven't seen any more information about him. Do you think the Titans will carry 3 quarterbacks? They have a history of quarterback injuries since I started watching Marcus Mariota.
Jim: Hey Bill. Ryan remains a free agent. It will be interesting to see where he ends up, or if he ends up playing. He has a pretty nice pad in Fort Lauderdale, and young kids. As for the Titans QB situation, I'm expecting Mason Rudolph to be the back-up behind Will Levis. Malik Willis is going to have to convince coaches he's worth keeping around just in case. I know the team will keep 3 QBs around, it's just a matter of whether that third guy is on the 53-man or the practice squad.
Justin Vance from Chatham, Ontario, Canada
Question: Hey Jim! You're a lucky man! To meet Jelly Roll and many other greats lately, you top it off with your hard work! Thanks for everything!
Quick question: Is the new stadium going to have "Titans" in the stands and stairs?
And I am looking at going to the Detroit game in week 8. Are you going? Want to hold a creative sign to advocate the Canadian support for the Titans!
Shout out to the Canadian fans!! I'm from Ontario. (Chatham, Ontario, Canada). 1 hour from Detroit!
So excited for this year and hope you are too!
Love your stuff.
Jim: Appreciate it, Justin. It's been a fun offseason, and spending time with Jelly Roll backstage in Detroit was one of the highlights. A lot of things TBD with the new stadium, but I don't think the new stadium will have "Titans" in the stands like the current one does. The plan calls for all dark, cushioned seats.
I will be in Detroit again for the game in October, so I'll be on the lookout for a creative sign! :)
Lake Helton from Jackson, Tennessee
Question: Hey Jim. I just wanted to say, the AFC south is becoming one of the best divisions in the league and most people say that the Texans are at the top. How do you think we match up against them, and what are our strengths and weaknesses we have against them.
Jim: It certainly looks better on paper, Lake. I think the Texans are the team to beat, but the Jaguars were that team last year. And, I think the Titans are certainly capable of being a team that surprises a lot of folks.
Pamela Saldana from Nashville, Tennessee
Question: Hi Jim. So I've been hearing a lot of rumors about picking up Safety, Justin Simmons in FA and potentially dealing DeAndre Hopkins to pay for it. What have you heard?
I don't like that scenario. I'd rather us take an educated chance on Jamal Adams who I think would benefit from a disciplined but big reward hunting Dennard Wilson lead defense.
Jim: I've seen the same rumors about the team being interested in Simmons, Pamela, but I've seen nothing credible about dealing Hopkins. Don't believe all the rumor mill gossip.
Richard Stepien from McMinnville, Tennessee
Question: Hey Jim. I love reading the mailbag and am excited about the Titans this year. No question just ready for the season to start. I know we will be passing more this year but don't forget about Tony and Tyjae. I'm ready to see T N T explode!!!! Titan Up!!
Jim: Good to hear from you, Richard. TNT? not a bad little nickname.
David Tawry from Memphis, Tennessee
Question: Hey Jim.Good news! Detroit gave Goff a big contract!
Can we trade Treylon Burks for Hendon Hooker? They need a big wide receiver and we need competition for Levis! Sounds like a plan! What do you think?
Jim: Nah.
Michael Cain from Kilmarnock, Virginia
Question: Good morning, Jim! Getting the itch more and more every day to see this team and what they can be.
Question, with the new team, new identity and new stadium on the horizon, will the organization also be considering new uniforms? Just can't embrace the current look. Thank you for all you do and, of course as always, TITAN UP!
Jim: Hmmm, we'll have to wait and see …
Have a great weekend everyone!
