Can the team make it two in a row?
Well, we'll find out soon.

Linda Gregory from Dickson, Tennessee
Question: Well Jim I've had time to digest the game Sunday and I think the Titans picked a winner with Jarvis Brownlee. I was impressed with the defensive line as well. Levis made mistakes but his rocket arm and enthusiasm have won me over. Hopefully, he learns pocket pressure better as time and practice continue. With 8 sacks and at least 5 of them preventable. I can still hear my husband yelling, "Throw the ball away and live for another play." While the big-money defensive backs have been a disappointment, do you think keeping the defensive players we have out there now should be kept intact? They have been doing a pretty good job and the more they play together the better they will get. It could be one of the rebuilding jobs that they need to be a stronger defensive team down the road. Thanks for your feedback as I read all of the answers you provide.
Jim: Hi Linda. I'm with you on Brownlee. He's a feisty player with an infectious attitude. And, he needs to keep playing. I've liked the looks of Darrell Baker, too. He's stepped in and played well. It's great the team is getting Chidobe Awuzie back soon, because you can never have too many corners. But the time without Awuzie and L'Jarius Sneed has let others shine. Levis is definitely getting better – he just needs to keep it up to win more fans over.
Jerry Knox from Lawrenceburg, Tennessee
Question: Hey Jim, as usual, I am late getting in. Mary Jane and I have decided not to renew for next year, and it has nothing to to with the Titans, who are improving. It's parking, or lack thereof. The have put Crackerbox Palace where we parked for years. It used to take an hour and a half to get to west Giles county after a game, now, it takes three hours minimum to cross the river, and wait in a garage across from Printers Alley, then drive home, and I have to be at work at 7 the next morning.. We have a small 60 acre farm, and animals that have to be tended to, who don't care if you went to the game or not! Furthermore, we don't want to be gouged on PSL's for the new stadium we never wanted. I enjoyed playing the Jags or dome teams to close the season and it was 13 degrees. Home field advantage. The new venue has priced the blue collar fan, the heart of the fan base, out of the equation. It's all about money for Metro, not the Titans. I'm thankful for what we saw in our time there, specifically a 99 yard run by the King, and a 98 yard pass TD by NWI. We will always be Titans fans, but this isn't feasible less than three years from retirement.
Jim: Hate to hear this, Jerry. Kind of makes me sad, really. I grew up in Nashville, and I started covering the team in 1999. I saw how fans supported this team once it became the Titans, and I've gotten to know a lot of the diehards by seeing them at games over the years. I know those are the ones who are going to support the team through the good times and the bad times, not just when things are going great and it's all fun, all the time. I understand where you're coming from, though. I know it's going to be harder to get to games than it's ever been. I wonder how my 87-year-old dad is going to pull it off. I also know this stadium is going to change the city I love for the better, and it's going to be a spectacular venue. I will tell you this: There will be a lot of affordable PSLs available, I promise. I've seen the grid, and know what's going to be offered leading up to the opening in 2027. The lower bowl and club seats are expensive, I'm not going to deny that. But they're expensive in every NFL city. Here's wishing the best to you and your family no matter what you decide.
Josiah Nichols from Baxter, Tennessee
Question: Hey Mr. Jim my name is Josiah and I am a 14 year old fan from Baxter. Will Levis has looked more efficient and accurate since he has returned for injury. He had his best game of the season against the Texans. I have loved NWI involvement in the offense and the emergence of Calvin Ridley as an elite weapon. Anyways Mr. Jim do you think if Will Levis continues to develop that the Titans will draft a qb in 2025? He has been under a lot of heat but people do not realize that he has not played a lot of football. He needs more time to prove himself in my opinion. The offensive line is also a glaring issue that has affected his play. It would be tempting to draft a qb if Cam ward or Shedeur Sanders were there but I would go the route of drafting a lineman or receiver. Such as Will Campbell or Travis Hunter to help improve the team around Levis. So in my opinion we give him another year to prove himself before we make a move for a qb. Thank you for your time Mr. Jim.
Jim: Hey Josiah. Good to hear from you. I think there's a lot to be determined with Will Levis. But I do think if he stays on the track he's on, and he keeps showing improvement, the chances of the team drafting a quarterback decrease. That doesn't mean the team won't bring in another QB for competition next year, whether it's Mason Rudolph or another veteran who is available. Personally, I'm not 100 percent sold on the QBs in this upcoming draft class, and if the Titans keep playing better and win more games, they might not be in a position to get one of the top guys. The next few months will tell us a lot.
Jae Jones from Washington, D.C
Question: Thank You For All The Work That You Do.
I Have 2 Questions.
1.) This Team Is A Top 3 Penalized Team In The NFL. In Your Opinion Or To Your Knowledge What Can Coach Cally & The Team Do Cut Down On The Penalties.
2.) Special Teams Coverage Continues To Be A Thorn In Our Side. I Know They Are Trying To Make The Adjustment Week To Week, Again How Can We Limit The Big Returns.
& I'm Glad To See The Progression Of This Team On All Sides Of The Ball. It's Been A Tough Year For The Team/Organization/Fans, But Results Take Time & Hopefully We Make A Nice Run To Close Out The Season!
Again Thanks For All You Do! #TitanUp
Jim: We're coming to see you this weekend, Jae!
-The penalties have definitely been an issue. And, believe me, getting them under control is a point of emphasis. They're being committed by rookies, and veterans. The coaches are stressing more discipline and better technique to help slow the rate down.
-The special teams issues have been frustrating for fans, coaches and players, I know. Some of it is as simple as just tackling better, and each player has to be disciplined with their responsibility.
This team doesn't need to make things easier on the opponent.
Pastor Pigskin from Warren, Arkansas
Question: Hey Jim. I'm relatively new to your platform here, but certainly appreciate your insight. My question is, will Burks see the field again this season and if not, what does that mean for his career?
Just a genuine answer for a person who has watched the kid from day one. Thank you.
Jim: Hi Pastor. Treylon is a fine young man. He's had some bad luck from an injury standpoint, and it's had a big impact on his career. I don't expect to see Treylon on the field again in 2024. What happens in 2025 and beyond is TBD.
James Kauffman from York, Pennsylvania
Question: Good evening Jim. Like so many of us that are Titans fans I was super pumped about the signing of L'Jarius Sneed. However, when I hear he is done for the year due to a quad injury I hope we are considering having him restructure his record-breaking deal. This guy has done nothing since week 6 even before then he didn't do anything on the field. The only thing I heard from him this year is still crying about the Chiefs not resigning him. You would think after signing a record-breaking deal you would show up and bring leadership clearly that's not the case these days. I feel like every time we get a big free agent outside of running backs and Delanie Walker, they don't pan out.
Jim: Hey James. I'm not going to speculate about his contract. But, I don't know of too many players who like to give back money. He's not faking his injury as some like to suggest. He's hurt.
Nick Sheppard from Memphis, Tennessee
Question: If Bill Callahan is such a good coach then why has every player on the line regressed from the previous season according to their PFF grades? Are we supposed to just believe that he's still got it as a coach based on his career? Coaches just like players become washed up and fall behind to the new times. Just saying. I know he's your lover boy and you'll say he's highly respected etc. lol 🤷♂️
Jim: Hi Nick. Sometimes I include emails just so others can see the nonsense that rolls into my inbox from time to time. This is one of those times.
Blake Collins from Saltville, Virginia
Question: Big test this week vs Washington. I think Levis looked better this past week the RB group looked good. If we want a chance this week the OL has to hold up..Commanders are going to send the meat on the right side sunday ..every down their going to double ..send cb blitz ..linebackers..I think if we can hold that right side down a touch longer and be able to give Levis a chance at a second read or get the run game established early on we just might get a W.. Football is won and lost in the trenches ..every offensive play starts there and is affected by how that group does..you ever see the chiefs right side of line how he lines up...I mean he gets flagged for being back to far all the time lol...but you dont see pat on his back do ya? Just a thought for Cally just in case he ant keepin tally..like my rhyme ? Lol ...thanks Jim!
Jim: I hear ya, Blake. Thanks for taking the time.
Trout Dawg from Long Beach, California
Question: Credits! You deserve it and so does the team … nothing is more true than just WIN on Sunday ,, If guys like Brownlee and Sweat are who Ran is going to bring in I can get behind the squad,, Jackson is nice,, Trench Monster, Spears, build it up and play hard,,I am on the fence with Cally but I can be bought,,,NWI is a pro and has earned some cash,, down the stretch there are way worst situation in the league,, I feel teams don't want to play us ,, Levis, Pollard,, Big Jeff , and the ragtag unit can spoil some teams playoff hopes and get some momentum going into the offseason. Titan Up! And bababoeeey to you all.
Jim: You're singing a different tune this week, Trout Dawg!
Have a great weekend everyone!
