NASHVILLE – A month later, ESPN's Mel Kiper Jr. has the same pick for the Titans – Notre Dame offensive tackle Joe Alt.
We'll see what happens in the NFL Draft next month.
On Tuesday, Kiper released his latest mock draft and he has the Titans taking Alt, just as he did previously.
In Kiper's latest mock, three quarterbacks – Caleb Williams, Jayden Daniels and Drake Maye – and three receivers – Marvin Harrison Jr., Malik Nabers and Rome Odunze – are taken with the first six picks.
So, he has the Titans having their choice among the top offensive linemen.
This is Kiper's comment when making the pick for the Titans:
"Nothing over the past month has changed my mind about the Titans taking the draft's top offensive tackle and starting him on the left side as a rookie. In fact, after they released Andre Dillard last week, the need is even more severe. Alt started 33 games at left tackle in college and surrendered just six sacks, four of which came when he was a true freshman in 2021. He would upgrade an O-line that ranked 31st in sack rate per dropback (11.1%) last season."
The first round of the NFL Draft is scheduled for April 25.
