NASHVILLE – Mel Kiper Jr. has been consistent in the lead up to the NFL Draft, at least as it relates to the Titans.
Over the past few months, Kiper has had the Titans picking Notre Dame tackle Joe Alt in the first round of the draft.
On Wednesday, Kiper stuck with Alt to the Titans with the 7th overall pick.
In ESPN's two-round version, Kiper gave the Titans a receiver – Florida's Ricky Pearsall – in the second round.
Here's what Kiper said about the 2nd round pick:
The Titans signed Calvin Ridley to a big contract last month, but 2022 first-rounder Treylon Burks has disappointed over two seasons and DeAndre Hopkins will be a free agent in 2025. There's room for a young wideout on this roster. Pearsall had 98 catches and nine touchdowns in his two seasons at Florida, and his 4.41-second 40 at the combine solidified himself as a top-50 pick.
In addition to Ridley, Hopkins and Burks, the Titans also have returning receivers Nick Westbrook-Ikhine, Kyle Philips, Mason Kinsey, Colton Dowell, Tre'Shaun Harrison and Kearis Jackson.
Current draft picks for the Titans:
Round 1: 7.
Round 2: 38.
Round 4: 106.
Round 5: 146.
Round 6: 182.
Round 7: 227, 242, 252.
The NFL Draft is now just over two weeks away, scheduled for April 25-27 in Detroit.
