NASHVILLE – Will Levis got the NFL's attention with his standout performance in his debut on Sunday.
So, what will the rookie quarterback do for an encore?
Well, the Titans are about to find out.
Ryan Tannehill didn't practice on Tuesday or Wednesday, and the Titans officially ruled Tannehill OUT for Thursday's game vs the Steelers.
Levis threw for 238 yards and four touchdowns, with a 130.5 rating, on Sunday as the Titans beat the Falcons 28-23 at Nissan Stadium in place of an injured Tannehill.
Next up is a game on Thursday night, in Pittsburgh.
In the locker room on Tuesday, Levis acknowledged it's been a quick turnaround to get ready for another game, but he's excited about the opportunity.
"It was crazy – I couldn't really take any time to celebrate," a smiling Levis said of Sunday's emotional win. "Obviously, I took the moment and enjoyed it with my family, and the loved ones that I had there. But like coach said, our minds had to flip to Pittsburgh at 4 o'clock on Sunday with the quick turnaround."
Levis knows the challenge will be different in Pittsburgh in his second NFL game.
"Playing or not, I've had this game circled on the schedule because of how great the environment is going to be," Levis said. "I know their fans are going to come out and it's going to be a nice environment. So, we are ready to handle it. I am looking forward to taking it all in and then just doing my thing."
