Kevin Clark from Huntsville, Alabama
Question:
Good evening Jim. I hope all is well. Do you forsee any changes for the upcoming season for a season ticket holder due to Covid-19? Ready for football and I am a proud Titans fan and season ticket holder.

Jim: Hi Kevin. Thanks for the question. This is an evolving situation, and the latest came in a story posted on this web site on Monday. And this is the letter that went to season ticket members:

Season Ticket Members, Over the past several days, there have been many reports regarding stadium capacities at NFL venues for the 2020 season. As these reports continue to emerge, we wanted to let our fans know that we are currently working closely with NFL, state and local officials on a solution for Titans games to be developed with the health and safety of our fans at the forefront of all decisions.Based on CDC guidelines and initial feedback from other governing authorities, it is unlikely that Nissan Stadium will be open to full capacity this fall. The presence of and the exact number of fans has not yet been determined. Despite this, it is our hope that all Season Ticket Members will have the chance to attend a number of our games."The health and safety of our players, staff and fans are our highest priorities as we explore ways to accommodate Season Ticket Members at Nissan Stadium this season," said Burke Nihill, Titans President/CEO. "We are in the process of working with the NFL, Metro Health Department and healthcare professionals to determine how we can safely provide a first-class experience in the stadium this year."Updated information regarding your season tickets and available options for the 2020 season will be emailed to you in the coming weeks. We can confirm that among the options will be the ability to opt out of the 2020 season and to apply existing payments to the 2021 season. There will also be an opportunity to secure a refund for any amount you've paid towards 2020 tickets. Please note, if you are currently enrolled in a payment plan for the 2020 season, all remaining installments have been suspended as of July 1, 2020.Though the full extent to which we are able to host fans at Nissan Stadium is still yet to be determined, our staff is dedicated to helping our Season Ticket Members navigate these unique circumstances. If you have any questions, please do not hesitate to reach out to our Season Ticket Services Team.We appreciate your business and are looking forward to cheering on our Titans to another great season. Titan Up!

Question:
Hey Jim. With a vaccine for COVID 19 hopefully coming by September, my thought is we vaccinate the NFL teams first (after of course, all healthcare workers, first responders, the elderly and people with compromised immune systems). This way (selfishly), we get an uninterrupted season and maybe some sense of normalcy. (And hopefully a Titans Super Bowl victory).

Jim: Hi Pat. Sounds like your optimistic on a lot of fronts. A vaccine by September? If you know someone who can get this done, please let Dr. Fauci – and Roger Goodell – know.

Jesse Cano from Corpus Christi, Texas
Question:
Hey Mr. Jim.....Chuy here all the way from South Texas! No question here just more of a time killer. There is a game that I've been playing called Retro Bowl.....kinda like old school football...where the players look a little blocky.....great game though! Of course I'm using the Titans as my team. I renamed my running back to.....u guessed it.....Derrick Henry!!! And this guy is a beast just like #22! I'm on year 7....with 5 Super Bowl wins, Henry with 5 MVP awards and just like Mr. Henry himself.....gives out UGLY stiff arms to his opponents! Sometimes the computer will do it on its own and the way the players fall down after the stiff arm......hilarious! He's like the real D. Henry. Longest rushing TD is 66yds and over still averaging over 6 yds a carry. Just like the Titans...I stick to running game. It's a good time killer .....but even in the game....I love watching him run! Titan up baby! Thx Mr. Jim.

Jim: Not a bad way to pass the time, Chuy... Enjoy!

William Young from Las Vegas, Nevada
Question:
I've been a Big Oilers/Titans fan since 1978!
When my team was in Houston I was a Season Ticket Holder! When my team moved to Tennessee I've continued watching with the NFL Sunday Ticket Ever Since!
The reason I'm telling you this is because I believe No One should be Discriminated by the Color of their Skin!
Racism is Evil! And I believe Black people have been discriminated against in some form for a long time! It was Wrong then and It is Wrong now!
With that being said, Segregation is Wrong Too! I believe that the NFL is starting up Segregation again by play the Black National Anthem for Week 1. I know that they are not trying to but they are! I understand they are trying to raise awareness to the Injustice for Black people and they should! But this is not the way they should do it!
The reason I say that is because of Colin Kaepernick! From the beginning Colin has stated the He Will Not Stand For The American National Anthem and The American Flag? His Quote "I am not going to stand up to show pride in a flag for a country that oppresses black people and people of color!" That is his on Words!!! And the NFL is trying to cover it up by saying it's Never been about the Flag!?! What!? I believe the flag is Imperfect but American people of the Flag Bleed and Died (Civil War) and other Wars, Legislations, Laws and so forth to make it right!!! We still have a long ways to go but compared to the rest of the world we are way ahead!
(look up what Colin Kaepernick tweeted about the 4th of July this year!?) And show that to everyone who blasted Drew Brees!
So the NFL is saying it's ok to take a KNEE for the American Flag/Anthem but You have to Stand for the Black National Anthem!?
What do the other Color's of people, Brown, Yellow, Red, White supposed to do? I thought the American Flag/Anthem where for ALL PEOPLE!
For the First Time in 42 years I will NOT be watching or spending money on the NFL!
GOODBYE NFL! I DON'T TAKE PART OF SEGREGATION!

Jim: Thanks for sharing your opinion, William.

Daniel Napieralski from Kodak, Tennessee
Question:
Dear NFL. I am writing you today to let you know how disgusted I am with you, the National Football League. I have been a big supporter of the National Football League for many, many years cheering my favorite teams and purchasing of sponsored products. I quit supporting the teams and sponsors after the players started to kneel during the National Anthem in protest of whatever. I know it is their right to kneel and peacefully protest guaranteed by The Constitution of the United States of America. It is also my right to stop watching the football games and buying your sponsored products. After the players started standing I came back, and started watching and purchasing sponsored products, figuring this was all done with. I have just read that the National Football League will be playing "a black national anthem" before the American National Anthem prior to beginning of the 1st. game of the year. GENTLEMEN THERE IS ONLY 1 NATIONAL ANTHEM. Again I will stop watching the National Football League and buying your sponsors products and I will NOT be coming back! Gentlemen you have not only offended me, but I am sure there are a lot of people like me who are offended. Your league has become a league of crybabies and snowflakes. If your players want to protest then do it on their time not NFL time. GOOD BYE. I know I am only one person but, I know of several people, men and women, who feel the same way I do.

Jim: And thank you for sharing your thoughts, Daniel. I'll forward this to Roger…

Eli Decko from Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania
Question:
HAPPY INDEPENDENCE DAY JIM!!!!!. On behalf of all the fans I would like to thank you for your excellence in professionalism. Some of the emails you've posted lately have kinda been stomach turning and for you to read every email and everyone's opinion and still do the job you do is nothing short of amazing. On a more fun and fantastic note, I have an idea. Could the Titans be interested in acquiring Chris Jones from KC via sending them (2) 1st round picks? Maybe signing him to that fat contract he wants? Imagine Him, Our Jones and Simmons as our defensive line!!!!! Holy crap! That would make our defensive front the best in the league almost immediately! Just a question to relieve the political questions and Clowney questions lol. Have a good weekend sir.

Jim: Thanks Eli. I'm going to continue to let folks share their opinions - and ask questions - in here. As for Chiefs d-lineman Chris Jones, I've been getting a lot of emails asking about him. A fan over the weekend suggested the Titans trade a 7th rounder for him. While that's not happening, I think sending the Chiefs two first round picks for him is even more far-fetched, to be honest. Frankly, Eli, it's just not happening. Back to the Clowney watch…

Jimmy Dee from Battle Ground, Washington
Question:
Jim, are the Titans doing anything to protect players from Covid-19? Assuming that ALL Titans' players are free of Covid-19 at the moment, is it possible to work out a deal with the players that they'll go nowhere except their homes, the grocery store (with PPE such as masks) until an effective treatment or vaccine comes to market. I understand that players are people and they have the right to go anywhere they want to go, but if the players could be given incentive to agree to some restrictions until the world is a safer place that would protect the players. The thing is to protect the players because if even one player catches Coronavirus then the whole team could go down with it, and players could actually die. Restrictions are better than death, especially if the players get something to agree to the restrictions. What do you think?

Jim: Hey Jimmy Dee. A lot of things are in the works across the NFL to protect players. As far as limiting their movement and imposing restrictions on them, that's above my pay grade. I'm sure the NFL, and teams, will share their expectations for players as we get closer to training camp, and the season. But I know there won't be anything like what the NBA is doing with its players, with a bubble in Orlando.

Heather Mims from Whitehall, Ohio
