NASHVILLE, Tenn. -- The Tennessee Titans (7-6) play their final road game of the regular season this week, traveling to face the New York Giants (5-8). Kickoff at MetLife Stadium (capacity 82,500) is scheduled for Sunday, Dec. 16 at 1 p.m. EST/noon CST.

This is only the 12th all-time meeting between the Titans and Giants. The Giants lead the series 6-5, including a win in the most recent battle at Nissan Stadium in 2014.

THE BROADCAST

The game will be regionally televised on CBS, including Nashville affiliate WTVF NewsChannel 5. Play-by-play announcer Greg Gumbel and analysts Trent Green and Bruce Arians will call the action, and Melanie Collins will report from the sidelines.

All live in-market games are now available for fans to stream on their phones and tablets, regardless of mobile provider. Fans can download the free NFL app to watch their local team live when they are on-the-go.

The Titans Radio Network, including Nashville flagship 104.5 The Zone, will carry the game across the Mid-South with the "Voice of the Titans" Mike Keith, analyst Dave McGinnis, sideline reporter Amie Wells and gameday hosts Rhett Bryan and
Jonathan Hutton.

TITANS KEEP PACE IN PLAYOFF HUNT

The Titans will have 10 days to prepare for the Giants after last week's Thursday night home clash with the Jacksonville Jaguars. Derrick Henry rushed for a franchise-record 238 yards and four touchdowns on 17 carries, lifting the team to a 30-9 win.

Henry broke Chris Johnson's previous single-game franchise mark of 228 rushing yards and tied Earl Campbell and Lorenzo White for the most rushing touchdowns in a game for the Titans/Oilers. In the second quarter, Henry scored on a 99-yard run to join former Dallas Cowboys running back Tony Dorsett (Jan. 3, 1983 vs. Minnesota) as the only two players in NFL history to do so. It was the 15th scrimmage play of 99 yards in league history, including 13 passing plays. With a 54-yard touchdown run in the third quarter, Henry joined former Titans running back Chris Johnson as the only players in NFL history with a rushing touchdown of at least 90 yards and a rushing touchdown of at least 50 yards in the same game.

The defense did its part against the Jaguars as well. Henry's 99-yard run was set up by a fourth-down, goal-line stop by the Titans on a tackle by first-round linebacker Rashaan Evans. The defense totaled four sacks, including 1.5 sacks by defensive tackle Jurrell Casey, who recorded his third consecutive game with at least one sack.

With two consecutive victories, the Titans kept pace in the tightly-contested AFC playoff race. The Houston Texans, who lost to the Indianapolis Colts last week, lead the AFC South at 9-4, followed by the 7-6 Colts and Titans. There are six AFC teams with either six or seven wins with three weeks remaining in the regular season.

Following their matchup with the Giants, the Titans will finish the regular season with two consecutive home games: Saturday, Dec. 22 against the Washington Redskins and Sunday, Dec. 30 against the Colts.

THE GIANTS

The Giants were on the road last week at NFC East rival Washington and came away with a convincing 40-16 win. They now have four wins in a five-game span after beginning the season 1-7.

Pat Shurmur is in his first season as head coach of the Giants. He was hired in January after spending the previous two years as the offensive coordinator of the Minnesota Vikings.

Quarterback Eli Manning is in his 15th NFL season and owns every major Giants passing record. The two-time Super Bowl MVP passed for 197 yards and three touchdowns last week at Washington to increase his season totals to 3,460 yards, 18 touchdowns and eight interceptions.

Manning is joined on offense by fifth-year wide receiver Odell Beckham Jr., who already in 2018 has notched his fourth 1,000-yard season (1,052). Meanwhile, rookie running back Saquon Barkley is third in the NFL with 1,124 rushing yards and has an additional 629 receiving yards through 13 games.
