NASHVILLE – Will Levis or Mason Rudolph?
Mason Rudolph or Will Levis?
Right now, the Titans aren't sure which player will start at quarterback on Sunday against the New England Patriots.
Both players are preparing for the possibility.
"I'm sure we'll find out maybe tomorrow or Saturday," Rudolph said. "The question is Will's health. I can only control what I can control."
For the second straight day, Levis was listed as limited on the team's injury report on Thursday.
Levis has missed the past two games while recovering from the right shoulder injury he suffered in the team's September 30 contest against the Dolphins.
Levis played the following week against the Colts, but continued discomfort, which impacted his ability to perform, resulted in the decision being made for Levis to miss games against the Bills and Lions.
Rudolph started the past two contests in place of Levis.
On Wednesday, Coach Brian Callahan said the Titans will monitor Levis during the week.
"We'll try to get a feel for where he's at after some rest, see how he feels throwing the ball, see how it looks," Callahan said. "The more important part for Will right now is going to be not just (Wednesday), but Thursday, Friday, days consecutive, throwing to see how that goes.
"If he's feeling good and feeling up to it, we'll ramp (his throwing) up and see where he's at."
On Thursday, Levis said he's working to improve, but he made no promises.
"I feel good," Levis said. "It's good to get out there and throw it around for a little bit. It's been a long process, but we'll just have to see for Sunday. "
In five games this season, Levis has completed 83-of-125 passes for 699 yards, and five touchdowns and seven interceptions.
Rudolph has completed 56-of-95 passes for 566 yards and two touchdowns, with three interceptions.
"Coach has made it very clear to me I need to be honest with how I am feeling," Levis said, "so the right decision can be made."
