Titans QB Will Levis Focused on Cleaning Up Mistakes – and Winning

NASHVILLE – Will Levis has no problems with getting yelled at like he did on Sunday.

With a slight smile, the Titans quarterback said as much on Wednesday after video clips of Titans head coach Brian Callahan screaming at Levis made the rounds on social media after Sunday's game vs the Jets, and over the past few days, even bleeding into the start of Packers week.

"I didn't bat an eye at it," Levis said. "I took the coaching, and I was yelling at myself in my head the same way he was yelling at me."

Levis said his focus is on getting better, and he believes the team – and his game – are on the right track.

But he knows he has to eliminate the costly turnovers. It's something he's working on.

"Just knowing the times when you have to be uber careful with the ball," Levis said. "Whether that's when you're in scoring position, a third-down where the throw that you're trying to make isn't even going to get you the first down. And, just having that hit my brain a little more quickly.

"… Adding the fold, as a quarterback, 'What's the best and smartest thing to do? What's something you need to keep in your mind because of this situation that can help your team and protect the ball?' I am just, every day, trying to think of those situations and get better in them."

Levis has completed 38-of-60 passes for 319 yards with two touchdowns and three interceptions in the first two games of the season. He had a costly pick-6 in the opener against the Bears, and then a fumble near the goal line this past Sunday against the Jets.

Next up is a game on Sunday against the Packers, when he'll aim to guide the Titans to their first win of the season.

"I do know, that as we get going, we're going to get more comfortable and more fluid and we're going to finally put together some complete games," Levis said of the offense. "I think we can all agree, if we played two complete games, or even just a little more complete two games, we're this close to 2 and 0.

"We know what we are capable of, and we know it's going to be a sight to see when everything comes together."
