NASHVILLE – The Titans have made a flurry of roster moves ahead of Thursday's game vs the Packers, on the active roster and practice squad.
On Tuesday, the Titans promoted linebacker Joe Schobert and defensive lineman Larrell Murchison to the team's 53-man roster.
The Titans also placed cornerback Caleb Farley on Injured Reserve.
Also on Tuesday, the Titans signed linebacker Andre Smith to the team's practice squad, along with kicker Josh Lambo and defensive backs Greg Mabin and Davontae Harris.
The Titans released defensive back Shyheim Carter and offensive lineman Eric Smith from the team's practice squad.
Schobert, who has played in three games this season as a gameday elevation, was signed to the team's practice squad earlier this season.
In the three contests, Schobert has been credited with nine tackles and a forced fumble.
Schobert (6-1, 240), selected in the fourth round of the 2016 NFL Draft after playing in college at Wisconsin, has played in 96 games over seven NFL seasons with the Browns, Jaguars, Steelers and Titans.
He's tallied 670 tackles, 11 sacks, 10 interceptions and 10 forced fumbles in his career. Schobert played in 16 games for the Steelers in 2021, when he started 15 games and racked up 112 tackles. Schobert was named a Pro Bowler in 2017 with the Browns.
Murchison, a fifth-round draft pick by the team in the 2020 NFL Draft, has also played in three games this season as a gameday elevation. He's been credited with a tackle and a quarterback pressure.
The practice squad additions come with experience.
Smith, a seventh-round pick by the Panthers in 2018 who was traded to the Bills in 2020, has played in 46 career games and he's been credited with 27 tackles and a forced fumble.
Smith (6-0, 240) played in 27 games for the Bills over the last two seasons and recorded 19 tackles, a forced fumble, and a fumble recovery. Smith also had eight tackles in 19 games for the Panthers during his first two seasons. Smith played in college at North Carolina.
Harris (5-11, 200) was a fifth-round draft pick of the Bengals in the 2018 NFL Draft who has also spent time with the Broncos (2019-2020), Ravens (2020), 49ers (2021), Chargers (2021) and Bears (2022). He's been credited with 59 tackles, 4 passes defensed and one forced fumble while playing in 36 career games, with nine starts.
Lambo has kicked for the Chargers (2015-16) and Jaguars (2017-2021) in his NFL career, and he's also spent time with the Steelers (2021). In his NFL career, Lambo has made 128-of-147 kicks (87.1 percent), and 143-of-159 extra points (89.9 percent).
Titans kicker Randy Bullock is on this week's Injury Report with a right calf injury.
Mabin, meanwhile, has had two different stints with the Titans, including in 2021, when he played in five games, with two starts. In 39 career NFL games, he's tallied 51 tackles, seven passes defensed and a forced fumble.
Kickoff for Thursday night's game in Green Bay is set for 7:15 CST.
