NASHVILLE – The Titans on Tuesday moved punter Brett Kern, cornerback Kristian Fulton and cornerback Tye Smith to the team's "Designated for Return" list.
This designation will open up a 21-day window for all three players to practice with the team, and they will not count against the team's 53-man roster until being activated from Injured Reserve.
On the same day, the Titans placed linebacker Jayon Brown and left tackle Ty Sambrailo on Injured Reserve. Both players were injured in Sunday's game at Baltimore.
Also on Tuesday, the Titans waived punter Trevor Daniel and defensive back Greg Mabin from the team's active roster.
The roster shuffling continued on the practice squad, where the team added quarterback DeShone Kizer and kicker Sam Sloman while waiving punter Ryan Allen and kicker Giorgio Tavecchio.
Kizer (6-4, 235) entered the NFL as a second-round selection of the Cleveland Browns in 2017. Over his NFL career, he has thrown for 3,081 yards, 11 touchdowns and 24 interceptions, along with 458 yards on the ground and five rushing touchdowns in 18 games with Cleveland and Green Bay. Kizer started 15 games as a rookie for the Browns in 2017, and played three games for the Packers in 2018. He also spent time with the Raiders in 2019 and 2020. Kizer was a two-year starter at Notre Dame, throwing for 5,809 yards and 47 touchdowns during his college career.
Sloman (5-8, 205) was a seventh-round pick by the Los Angeles Rams this year. He kicked in the Rams first seven games this season, connecting on 8 of 11 field goals. As a college player at Miami (Ohio), he converted 49 of 62 field goals, including 26 of 30 as a senior.
The Titans face the Colts on Sunday in Indianapolis.
