NASHVILLE – The Titans waived/injured linebacker Reggie Gilbert on Tuesday while also placing linebacker Vic Beasley on the team's Non-Football Injury (NFI) list.
Beasley is eligible to re-join practices upon passing a physical.
Gilbert played in 11 games, with five starts, for the Titans in 2019. He finished the year with 24 tackles, a sack, seven quarterback pressures, a stop for loss, a pass defensed and three special teams tackles.
The Titans traded for Gilbert late in the 2019 preseason to bolster the team's depth and experience at outside linebacker. Gilbert played in 18 games during his first three seasons (2016-18) with the Green Bay Packers and tallied 47 tackles and 3.5 sacks.
Last week, the Titans removed Beasley from the team's Did Not Report list to the active roster after he reported for testing. The Titans signed Beasley, a first-round pick of the Falcons in the 2015 NFL Draft, back in March.
