simmons-stonehouse-all-pro

NASHVILLE – Titans defensive lineman Jeffery Simmons and punter Ryan Stonehouse have been named second-team All-Pro by the Associated Press.

Simmons, named a Pro Bowler this year, finished the 2022 season with 53 tackles, 7.5 sacks, 43 quarterback pressures and nine tackles for a loss.

Stonehouse finished the 2022 season with a gross average of 53.10 yards per punt (90 punts for 4,779 yards). Stonehouse broke Sammy Baugh's single-season NFL record of 51.40 yards per punt, which was established in 1940 and was never matched among qualifiers (2.5 punts per team game) until Stonehouse's rookie campaign.

Defensive linemen Chris Jones (Kansas City) and Quinnen Williams (New York Jets) made the first team ahead of Simmons, who made the second team alongside Dexter Lawrence (Giants).

Chiefs punter Tommy Townsend made AP's first team.

Other Titans who received votes: running back Derrick Henry, safety Kevin Byard, linenbacker David Long and long snapper Morgan Cox.
