NASHVILLE – The Titans have designated linebacker Zach Cunningham to return to practice from Injured Reserve.
As a result, Cunningham now has a 21-day window to be activated, and he can begin practicing today.
Cunningham has missed the last five games since being placed on Injured Reserve with an elbow injury. Prior to that, Cunningham played five games while missing three because of the elbow injury he initially suffered in the team's September 25 game against the Raiders.
Cunningham has been credited with 23 tackles and one quarterback pressure this season.
The Titans remain without inside linebacker David Long Jr., who went on Injured Reserve earlier this month.
Also on Wednesday, the Titans signed running back Jonathan Ward to the team's practice squad. Ward, who played in college at Central Michigan, was initially signed by the Arizona Cardinals as an undrafted free agent in 2020. He's played in 32 games for the Cardinals over the past three seasons (2020-2022) and has recorded 33 yards on nine rushing attempts while also making four catches for 45 yards and a touchdown.
More recently he's spent time on the practice squad of the New York Jets.
The Titans return to action on Sunday against the Chargers in Los Angeles.
