NASHVILLE – The Titans have designated linebacker Monty Rice to return to practice from the team's Reserve/Physically Unable to Perform (PUP) list.
The move opens his 21-day window to be activated.
Rice was placed on the team's PUP list prior to the season as a result of an injury he suffered last season.
Rice, a third-round draft pick in the 2021 NFL Draft from Georgia, played in 10 games in 2021, with four starts. Rice was credited with 30 tackles last season, along with a pass defensed.
Rice made the trip to Indianapolis with the Titans, and coach Mike Vrabel indicated earlier this week he expected to have Rice back on the practice field this week.
With Zach Cunningham sidelined with an elbow injury last week, Dylan Cole and Joe Schobert both played inside linebacker alongside David Long Jr. against the Colts.
The Titans return to action on Sunday at the Washington Commanders.
