NASHVILLE – The Titans are getting a pair of key players back – one on each side of the football – for Sunday's game vs the Broncos.
On Saturday, the Titans activated receiver Treylon Burks and defensive back Elijah Molden from Injured Reserve. Both players returned to practice recently, and their return should give the team a boost.
Meanwhile, the Titans placed two more players on Injured Reserve – linebacker Zach Cunningham and defensive back Josh Thompson. Neither player practiced all week, Cunningham with an elbow injury, Thompson with the knee injury he suffered against the Chiefs.
Additionally, the Titans are making defensive lineman Larrell Murchison and receiver C.J. Board gameday elevations for Sunday's game. They'll revert back to the practice squad after the contest.
A first-round draft pick in the 2022 NFL Draft, Burks was placed on Injured Reserve on October 8 after suffering a foot/toe injury in the team's October 2 game at the Colts.
In four games this season, including two starts, Burks has 10 catches for 129 yards, with a long of 27.
In his NFL debut against the Giants, Burks caught three passes for 55 yards. Since 1970, his 55 receiving yards ranked second among Titans/Oilers rookies and first-year players in Week One.
Molden, a third-round draft pick in the 2021 NFL Draft, was placed on Injured Reserve back on September 9 after missing a long stretch of practices because of a groin injury.
As a rookie in 2021, Molden appeared in 16 games with seven starts. He ranked fifth on the team and first among Titans rookies with 60 tackles and one interception for a touchdown. Additionally, Molden was credited with six quarterback pressures, three tackles for a loss, four passes defensed, one forced fumbled, one fumble recovery and two stops on special teams.
Kickoff for Sunday's game vs the Broncos is scheduled for noon at Nissan Stadium.
